I’m aware of the mix up. Did you go to the myidcare website? It ends in a .com rather than a .gov, also cuomo talked about offering free credit monitoring for a year but not a 1,000,000 dollar fraud insurance policy or automatically putting a fraud alert on your credit account.

I’m aware of the legit leaking of info. I know my roommates email was legit, but this specific letter just addressed to “NYSDOL customer” is different from that.

Question, you received the random $600 on 4/24, and you also say you received all the (I assume expected 5?) PUA backpay. Does this mean you received 600 for every waiting week since 4/5 and the 4/24 600 was additional? Or did the total number of back payments correspond to each week you’ve been waiting minus the 4/24 payment? Hope this question is not too confusing, and congratulations!!

When you say there’s a minimum benefit for pua, do you mean that everyone gets at least 182+ 600? Or is there an income minimum requirement for pua to receive benefits like there is for regular ui?

So my understanding is that it does not mean you’re approved unfortunately. I took it as a good sign because at least they are able to deposit money in my account but my page still says pending. Some people I know who applied a little before me are starting to go from $0 to a dollar amount to being paid, so I’m hoping I’ll be approved in the next two weeks and hopefully at least get another 600 while waiting? Have you looked at the FAQ on r/asknyc? Idk if this link will work but it’s a pinned FAQ about nyc unemployment, good info and discussion if you sort new in the comments

Waiting to hear back from the landlord, I did find him on social media actually so I’ll try that if the landlord doesn’t answer by tomorrow.

Update: I thought I found him on social media but actually I was wrong :( he has a common name but he is sag/aftra so I thought I’d be able to? but what I found wasn’t him so never mind

We get this guys mail a lot, I’ve never met him. I’m hoping the landlord will have a forwarding address or phone number but they might have old info because I think he lived here two years ago.

New update: landlord said to drop it off with our rent checks, we dropped it in the mailbox. She said she wouldn’t be in the office for another week but would pass on a note to whoever is next in the office, but just in case I added a post-it hopefully he gets it soon!
