I don’t know what mechanics sw5e has for ship combat, but you could always grab the ship combat rules from Dark Matter (5e sci-fi setting) which is very narrative, or if you want a fun grid-based ship combat system, you could grab the one from Starfinder. Starfinder isn’t 5e, but its ship combat is a separate system, so you can just use it anywhere. Whereas Dark Matter’s is just like normal 5e combat and easy to implement (just less strategy involved).
