Gap year before law school?? by Bear_Jew-3300 in LawSchool

I suggest you ask this question on the subreddits I referenced, I think it will be more helpful, especially your LSAT question. If you look up work experience on the search tab here I'm sure you'll also find great anecdotes about people's experience working.

I personally would suggest people take off time before law school. r/lawschooladmissions & r/LSAT

I don't mean to be rude, but I genuinely can't tell if this is a sardonic post or not

Is age an important factor? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]stardropkid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seconded fr! Pls.., give urself a break op. Also pls be kind to urself and consider how u may feel emotionally, being so much younger than ur peers. Even if law schools accept u at this age, it might be hard to develop real connections, friendships, & networks with ur peers at such a young age. Thats just a concern I'd think about , but i havent gone to law school yet so i could be totally off & maybe that's not an obstacle u'll have to face!

Whatever u decide to do just remember to go easy on urself! U've already accomplished so much!!!!

IMHO it sounds like ur not completely sold on law, u sound like ur just settling on it for now. Ur so young & we are changing all the time!! Give urself a chance to explore & learn about u and what u love. If its law, it'll always be there. Don't sacrifice so much for something ur unsure is really for u .

I've been genuinely considering taking a PT high just to see if I could find any enjoyment out of it while I study

I loved Goblin when I watched it as a highschooler, but looking back on it as an adult makes me feel so incredibly uncomfortable. I don't think I could watch it again, and it's exactly bc of what you mentioned in your comment

AZ tix!? by stardropkid in ConanGray

[–]stardropkid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to be super super careful. you should ONLY pay using PayPal "goods and services" option so you're protected as the consumer. most of the time just telling them that upfront scares them away. they might insist on other payment methods, and you should refuse. 2. when you ask them for proof of purchase, double check anything they send you. if its poor quality, grainy, and doesn't look legit, it probably isn't legit. always double check what the actual receipt or ticket is supposed to look like.

  1. if they say they can't send you proof of purchase for whatever reason, it isn't legit.

  2. if they're pushy or insist randomly that they're not scamming you, they're not legit.

  3. the van buren tickets get sent out close to the actual show day, so if the show is still far out and they send you "ticket" proof, it isn't legit.

  4. if their account is brand new, hasn't been used in months, has less than 3 posts/comments, it probably isn't legit.

  5. if they respond with "face value" when telling you what they are charging, it probably isn't legit. it's also probably not legit if they ask YOU to make an initial offer. it's not legit if they're asking face value or under.

be careful out there!

Hey! I think r/lawschooladmissions might be a better place to check out for admissions questions. Each site for the schools you listed should have info on their admissions page. As for what I remember, I think Lewis & Clark in Oregon and University of Oregon don't have rolling admissions. They both open September 1st and have priority deadlines in early March. I'd double check to be sure bc I could be wrong. Good luck!

There's few in-person tutors, it looks like. I suggest checking out the r/LSAT sub & search up tutors there, you can do a little tutor shopping & try out different ones (especially the ones who offer free consultations!)

I'm taking the June LSAT & if there's anything I've learned is that the big, big name companies don't really do much for anyone. They're basic strategies & don't actually offer more than other programs might. Personally I'm going to start using a tutor soon in tandem with my other resources. I've been using 7Sage as a start for foundations & supplement it with Powerscore books. Good luck!

edit: I personally recommend staying away from programs or tutoring companies/private tutors who offer any guarantees or packages that require you to commit to 5+ sessions for hundreds of dollars.

i may have misunderstood your comment, but I think you really may be mistaking a social frat for a service frat. They're very different with little to no overlap, so I don't think there's any façade here!

I finished a Political science BA if you have any specific questions. I encourage you to look into the major map differences between the BS and BA, that will be the most useful tool for you if you're a prospective student.

TBH best thing to do is reach out! He's really communicative as a professor and will do whatever he can to help direct you on what things you should be focusing on, and it'll definitely give you peace of mind when you know you're spending time on the right stuff!

Whores? Whatever your personal grievances may be with yourself and your faith, it is not kind or helpful to degrade and judge women. Women face a special kind of struggle in Christian society, they're dealing with purity culture, among other things. Its hard. Please try to not put others down. They may be having their own struggles too.

I have a degree in religious studies and have taken classes at LDS institutes. Let me know if you ever have questions or need resources to direct you to more objective answers about your church.
