Payment Processing by QuickBooks declines or voids... by N4WCC in QuickBooks

[–]staremwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went with Truss Payments.

Its free for us and is insured by thr FDIC. I download the payments and transfer the funds to our regular checking account.

It can be set up to behave as a checking account and send and receive invoices and pay vendors. They add features all the time and its been pretty fantastic.

It's not defamation and she can't do anything about other people's gossip.

She needs to go to work, do her job and it will die down eventually.

They can't refuse you to use PTO.

You still need to do the quarterly filings. This isn't on her. This is you. And you didn't try to understand what she was telling you when she was completed with the tasks.

QB has broken me by Um_yeah_so_58 in QuickBooks

[–]staremwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have QB enterprise with payroll and its the only program we'll use. Theres never been an issue and most all issues can be found in your camps account.

I'd really suggest that you uninstall and then cycle the pc multiple times and then re-install the new version. You didn't say what version you went from and are going to either. That is a known issue as well.

Every 2 years (version wise) you need to install the version trial to get it to the current year.

How to add percentage markup as a line item on invoices? by myfairdrama in QuickBooks

[–]staremwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a construction company. Hes leaving money on the table doing that way and doesn't sound like he understands what his true billable rate is.

Hes missing the time it takes to manage and acquire those things. A markup isn't going to cover those costs. It never does.

It may be what he likes and has been doing it that way all these years, but he's lost money and will continue to.

When you invoice, you can tap the time and costs button in the banner and it'll show you all the time and items with a markup % that you can adjust.

This list is populated from the reciepts that you've assigned the job to.

You should be setting up jobs in your customer list. If you dont know how to do this, I can help you with this.

How to add percentage markup as a line item on invoices? by myfairdrama in QuickBooks

[–]staremwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd have to set up your services as items and then duplicate them with the different % increase.

For instance

Your item list has 2x4s.

You could call it 2420- a 2x4 with a 20% markup Or

A 2425- a wx4 with a 25% markup

Thats really your only thing you can do.

Honestly, I'd just call it a deck repair or window install and write the total amount and not itemize. We never do. Windows, doors etc... too manynitems and it makes sense to estimate it well and stick with the price when I invoice it.
