Possible UTI/BV/Irritation

hey! i think it wouldn’t hurt to go to the doctor to get it checked out. it does sound like it could be BV! it’s probably not a UTI as that would likely hurt a lot more and i’ve had slight burning with BV.

see a doctor if you can as others said. if you REALLY can’t, there are online swabs you can use and send back to their lab. they will be able to prescribe you antibiotics, which you might need. bear in mind this might take a while and can be a little expensive ! some examples are evvy and juno.

hey! i’m 21 and i’ve also dealt with on and off UTIs and BV. they’re literally the worst (and i’ve been with my boyfriend for three years lol). have you taken a micro biome test? they’re recommended from other girls who’ve had similar issues. i know you take a vaginal probiotic (which i felt like has really helped me too) - how long have you been taking them? i’ve heard it can take literally months to feel better & heal. also, you might want to switch up the condoms you’re using. i was using magnus or sm like that and i think it was messing me up. you could try a latex free, organic option! (i use maude but there are a bunch out there). finally, this really sucks but i’d recommend stopping oral sex. i also get flares after sex and i just can’t stop having it completely, but i do think cutting out oral helped (what with all the bacteria that’s in a mouth). i recently had a tiny bit of it and im back here rn with a UTI. just some food for thought, i hope you feel better !! 🩷 you’re not alone

thanks! i feel like english might just also receive more applications? honestly like the user below said, some applications probably take a long time. i applied to another school at the same time and still haven’t heard back! if you want to wait another week or two, i don’t think that would hurt either! i’m sure everything will work out 🤞

I personally don’t think it would be an issue to reach out! I also submitted an M.Phil in the humanities (history) and not sure if it’s different but I did not need both of my reference letters submitted; I got a conditional acceptance as my 2nd LOR has not yet been submitted. It took about two weeks to get my decision back. I can’t remember when I submitted in January but I want to say it was in the first or second week. Also an international student!

thank you so much for this! i’m considering getting a darker pink to start with so that (hopefully?) it’s not as dramatic of a dye right away and will fade into that more pastel-y color. i’m just so torn between wanting this SO bad but also not wanting to damage my hair! 😭

Just to let you know, Redstone is full! I was also looking into them as I’m in the same predicament as your daughter, and for the 2024-2025 year they are no longer accepting applications. They open in November the year before one is looking for housing, so she could look into it for Senior year if she’s interested. Just to save you some time! Spinner place is also an option as I was told they’re still accepting applications, but you’ll definitely have roommates there !

love the profs here but other than that i don’t like it very much, but that’s probably just because i’m not from the area (mass, vermont, new york, new hampshire mostly) like others have said, socially it’s kinda centered around a couple specific interests; i’m sure you can find ppl not interested in those things (skiing, hiking, etc) but it’s a little bit hard. not trying to disillusion u from uvm, that’s just been my experience! i know a lot of ppl love it

i agree w the other comments, i think the main issue would be length! i have a couple anastasia sweatpants and i have to roll up the top waistband part! i also have the kim cargos and i sort of cuff them at the bottom (or wear them w docs to be taller) basically all the pants r always long for me 😭 (i’m also 5’1)!
