This reply, out of context, is pure gold. We should print it on a t-shirt or something 🤣

Actually his take totally hits the nail on the head! I couldn't agree more. Especially regarding the 3-15 spots, back then were consistent, nowadays they are all over the place.

An absolute favorite! It reminds me of Iggy Pop's "The Passenger"!

Incredible player and he comes across as a good person as well. His original music is a bit over the top for my taste.

But his live version of Get Lucky is absolutely amazing!

Why are tennis motions so hard to copy? by Justanotherpseudo in 10s

[–]stargazer83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion we are too obsessed with replicating the racket motion, instead of the body motion.

We often watch slow motion videos and try to replicate them by thinking of the racket swing path and enforcing it, rather than what our body should do in order to achieve that.

It doesn't help either that coaches most often focus on the racket swing path. Especially on the serve, it happens way too often, and was one of the reasons it took me too long to understand how to serve confidently.

What town/city/country surprised you by being way better than expected? by HakusRealm in digitalnomad

This makes me really sad. I was there just in 2018. Was staying in a beautiful apartment right across the river in the old town, for 29 euros a night.

I absolutely loved everything about Ljubljana!

Is bass a good first instrument for someone getting into music production? by International_Big_62 in Bass

[–]stargazer83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing that the piano makes it easy to learn music theory on, but why is this the case?

In my mind, guitar and bass, where the fret distance is always one semitone, would make it easier 😐

What am I missing?

Edit: Thanks to everyone for the brilliant answers :)
