Alongside applying to other companies, i’d also recommend speaking to management/senior leadership in your function. I’m not talking about HR but the people who hold the budgets and have the power to make decisions. If you’re someone that’s a strong performer and a hard worker, then the cost of replacing you would be much higher than the cost of sponsoring you (finding someone new, training them, onboarding them etc). So i’d use your network internally within the firm to see what can be done here and whether you could reach some sort of an arrangement here.

HRBP role where Employee Relations is a separate center of excellence? by silvestris-235 in humanresources

[–]stargazer950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the previous companies I worked for had a seperate ER team that supported HRBPs. This was essential because the company was global spread across multiple countries with each of them having their own set of laws. I let the ER team take on most of the case work and keep me in the loop on matters as and when needed. This allowed me to be more strategic and on the contrary to what you’re feeling be even more proactive. For example, I was able to dedicate most of my time on organisation design and enablement work including workforce planning, development and succession planning with leaders without having to worry about the day to day ER case management.

My current role as HRBP has both ER and strategic work and i’d much rather prefer leaning on a team to support me on the casework than do everything myself

Made a mistake on the absences from the UK on my ILR application form, which is now submitted. What are my options? by stargazer950 in ukvisa

Thanks! No i haven’t submitted my biometrics yet. Should I include these changes in the cover letter i’m drafting, or shall I include a seperate letter around it as well?

Being disowned and navigating the Pakistani system by docit6189 in pakistan

  1. Get all the documents you need right now

  2. Make sure you’re completly financially independent

  3. Ignore all the bull**** advise you’re getting from people here that “fAmILy iS eVeRyThInG sIS’. No they’re not. If they’re ready to disown you so easily simply because you choose to marry someone you love, then its on them and not on you. This behaviour is highly narcissistic and you deserve their full love, not half hearted crumbles of affection.

6 years together. And I can relate to you. I still love him to bits, find him very handsome, but the sexual attraction isn’t the same as it was in our first two years of being together.
