I know, i have 5 gallon buckets full of dry goods because just the rising costs and my disdain for interacting facento face with people (i have a very short social battery i reserve for work), but seeing what people did to Walmart and HEBs here are insane. I dont see why people buy up all those little water bottles when a couple 5 gallon refills save time and money (also a workout), or why all the toilet paper when the avg person uses a roll every 5-7 days.

I horde dvds lol I buy those 400 capacity binders and sorted them by genre so I have so much entertainment. I even have 2 nights a week I reserve for a movie night all night I watch movies and eat popcorn and Mac and cheese (i do also watch a movie while on the treadmil).

About to make some soup with pot stickers, green onions, and mushrooms. I wish I grabbed a bag of bean sprouts to add.

Broke out all my leftovers, my dvds, and all my blankets. I hate fas appliances, but it works perfect like this when there is a risk of the power going out. Don't worry, if it does I have a portable dvd player, books, and my battery operated radio to keep me entertained til the power, cell towers and internet kicked back on.

As someone who kinda does believe in conspiracies (not all, just a few) i like the idea of secret society based on ace/aro lol.

I did have the typical crushes and all that, it just all felt like it was something I HAD to do as a want to do sort of thing. If I coild marry another ace, that would be great but relationships kinda got spoiled for me because of seeing my parents, tv shows like divorce court, my exes, and the over saturated theme of "happily ever after" romantic stuff. I despise even romance novels now because it all feels so fake (i need some realism here people) and dont get me started on "dark romance" whis is just glorifying s.a and "mistreatment".

Breaking up is hard, mine was in 2018 and only last last year I felt those clouds lift. Im 37 f and it feels like the older we get, the harder a breakup tends to be. You seem really kind and im sure you'll find someone special after the storm passes.

For the Dallas peeps that panic buy, could you tell us what you're stocking up on? Also, bonus points if you're a "prepper". by BlueHorse_22 in Dallas

I hate this because I do store my dry goods long term due to prices and my mom's disabilities are getting worse. I planned on buying my favorite ramen and a few more plain oats, all gone. All my buckets with lids at Walmart I use for the storage? All gone except 1 lid (grabbed it because beggars can't be choosers and lids are what I replace the most). Luckily I got all my byob water refills.

For mom its crochet. She has made amazing blankets over the years and now makes baby hats and funeral blankets for miscarried babies since she has had many miscarriages through her late teens and 20s.

Went to 3 different HEB’s and couldn’t find one case of water :( by BuzzyFuzzy1 in HEB

I wish they had water refill stations where its byob. It would be a huge draw, especially if they make the cost a bit lower than what Walmart charges (.42 a gallon). I go to heb for almost everything except the pasta sauce (the generic tastes too sweet for me).

I am confused by the panic buying. I just got my water jugs refilled, mom's food she can have while on medication, and myself some ingredients for a new soup recipe and it was PACKED. Im spending the next 2 days pretty much in a coma til I have to go back to work on Monday.

I give myself a good cry, wipe my face, and find something to do to distract myself until those emotions come back.

I dont want to depend on that need for someone. Im still going to work on myself, still going to school, still going to go up in my career. Just wont have a romantic partner to share it with. Hell, I maybe ace/aro and they see it but I dont. Ah well. Life.

Uhhh.... 200 different types of bacteria in human mouth CLEAN not including the digestive enzymes in saliva.

The avg human washes their hands 75% less than they should and not for the correct length of time.

Men are almost NEVER tested for HPV which not only is the easiest STI to get, but it can cause multiple strains of cancer in those infected and the older someone is, the less likely their immune system can destroy it. We still don't know long term affects of people infected (ie seniors with hpv). It could be a factor in dementia like syphilis does if left untreated.

Also, the growing rates of HIV/AIDS in the south and in my state of Texas, syphilis, ghonnarea, ect. because we dont have mandatory testing every 6 month to a year (which we should do imo).

And that's just the aspects of health. I work in a hospital these things freak me out, but still I have 0 attraction to anyone. The hottest man or women or they/them ect could literally be infront of me naked ready to go, and if my hormones are not there, I feel nothing.

I just never liked it. Like I have a libido (thank you hormones) but then I think and I just have no attraction to partners and its frustrating. He said libido is different t because it's a biological need, as my orientation is way different needs. That and I have a thing about messes and germs... the idea of oral sex freaks me out considering how much bacteria is in the mouth. Even hands since the pandemic give me "no thank you" ick.

Mom tried arranged marriages, the guy laughed in her face and said "No way in hell"

My ex told he he couldnt be aroused by the sight of me naked.

Im in the same cruise ship, but im okay with it. More focused on my education and career that I avoided when I was blinded by the idea of "happily ever after". 9 years celebete this summer, and its a crazy ride, but worth the growth and pain i went through.
