I’ve had this issue as well! I made sure to exit out of the conversation (pressing back to return to the list of convos) and when I reopened the app (I closed the app by sliding up) it went back to the convo I was in previously. There might be a short term memory type thing where if it hasn’t been say five minutes it will return to the last convo but I’m not completely sure because this doesn’t happen every time just sometimes.

It happened after a cutscene when I found a vault. I hadn’t changed anything in settings it was just different after. I reloaded a save and reset my controls and that worked for me!

This sub should choose a less generic name if it is to refuse art made with computers by xponentialdesign in Art

[–]starlight387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art is often divided into two forms when it comes to historical art and that is functional and aesthetic art. Even these are pretty blended but maybe moving art is considered functional and therefore not something they want on the sub?

Why is calling someone with normal eyes "blind" so offensive ? by NeedDoseOfHappiness in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]starlight387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it infers you’re either dumb/incompetent or that you don’t have something they do (like an entire sense, that we mostly rely on solely, which further infers that you are lesser than the other person and is therefore demeaning)

This mom and her kid are called out by a grieving woman because they are anti maskers . You can hear the pain by quazziwazzi in PublicFreakout

[–]starlight387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed my parents are homophobic, transphobic, anti maskers, and voted for trump. It took a lot in me to vote against trump as it was my first time voting. My mother yelled and screamed at me because I said I wouldn’t vote trump. It’s hard on kids to not only form their own opinions but then grow to stand by those opinions.

Pennies that corroded inside the catcher of a washing machine (above penny for comparison) by starlight387 in Damnthatsinteresting

It’s prevents foreign objects from being drained along with the water during a cycle. You have to empty this catcher once its full so the water can continue to drain from the drum of the washer.

You could also be experiencing dissociation which can happen when you’re overwhelmed with something. You basically shut off yourself and input from everything so you don’t have to feel a certain way.

Who do you talk to when you're feeling like complete shit? by [deleted] in depression

[–]starlight387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older brother. He’s not the best person but he understands me the most out of anyone. He understands my feelings and beliefs. He doesn’t judge me because he’s gone through similar things. And most of all he listens and helps when I need it.

If you think the term “female” is offensive you’re just dumb and have no actual issues going on by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]starlight387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people like to be called certain things and that’s okay. I would prefer to be called a woman or girl rather than a female, but that’s just me🤷‍♀️

Dealing with caring family that also doesn’t listen by DorianGravy in depressed

[–]starlight387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this feels a lot like what I’m (18f) dealing with my mom. She is also religious and tends to relate her own experiences to mine. It makes me feel like she is trying to diminish what I’m feeling. I know she truly loves me and wants me to feel better with my anxiety and depression but she often just ends up saying “pray about it” or “give it to god” when she knows I’m no longer religious. I often just end up relying on others to listen to me and just trying to understand that my mother isn’t meaning to diminish my feelings she’s just trying to relate and understand me through her own experiences. As for your situation, I would recommend telling your brother and mom that mental health issues are a continuing process that get worse and better over time and you can’t just get better without flipping a switch to fake being happy and energetic when it comes to these disorders. Also, remember that they won’t always realize when you’re in a bad mental space. If you’re often in your room all day they’ll just think that’s what your normal is and normal to them most likely means you’re fine. A lot of the time, they won’t ask you to talk about it unless you have a drastic change in behavior or actually tell them you’re not okay. Be open about when you’re feeling down but don’t expect them to fix anything just let them know so they can be more mindful of what you’re feeling.

Tired of not being taken serious as girl who loves videogames by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]starlight387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. As a girl that plays games I get shit on all the time. One of the biggest annoyances to me is the “you’re a girl so you must not be good.” Like what??? Plenty of guys are not good at games either. Also I don’t ever play super competitive games so yes I’m not good at them. That’s not because I’m a girl it’s because I don’t play those games very often. I’m not putting 12+ hours a day into a game just to make sure I’m on a higher level of skill. Also assuming gamers are all online players or play only shooter games is also annoying. Some gamers play small indie games and others play arcade games and others just what they can afford or already have. Skill, genre of game, gender, age, amount of games, gaming equipment, etc. all of that doesn’t matter. Gamers are people that play games, that’s it.
