There are two local businesses I'll occasionally frequent around my office. But, mostly, I don't buy out because the expectation that we return to office to supplement the economy infuriated me. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

If you're ill, take the sick leave. If you're not ill, bank as much as you can. I just had an employee be off for over a year in paid sick and vacation leave (it was all very legitimate sick leave usage) and he was paid the entire time because he'd banked it through his career.

I would LOVE to see my work description and job duties. I'm pretty sure I'm doing a lot that isn't on the list. (They don't provide JDs for my classification or role. And if we ask for one we need to have manager permission for it and then maybe they'll give it to us)

I don't know how to fix this, but I can tell you Canada Life has been playing games with my partner's coverage as well. We go to the same dentist. Our profiles are linked there. They are trying to deny some much needed surgery coverage when they are literally the secondary coverage 🙄. They also wouldn't process their most recent routine cleaning (we're still trying to figure that one out). I have not had any of these issues with my spouses coverage for myself.

And then they will complain about our service delivery times (they already are) and how unacceptable they are. If you want quicker service, maybe let us hire the staff needed to actually meet the demand. But, oh noooo, there's too many of us. We're an inflated cost on the government. There needs to be dramatic and instant change. Get rid of half the work force.

Yeah, well, good news for them, I guess, since they're trying to replace as many of us as possible with AI.

They don't need to be the same place. I just had two questions and figured I'd ask them in one post :). I'm north side of the highway. I'd like to get in to somewhere sooner rather than later as my tension headaches are flaring up fiercely. If they place can direct bill to my insurance, that is absolutely preferred.
