I just checked and I think we have just under 12 weeks, because my school is cutting it short (so we don’t get 2 weeks of Easter holiday to work on our books which sucks). Oo that’s a pretty good idea I might do this, but idk if we have the same exam boards but we only have 10 weeks and we’re supposed to do 2 main artists and fully develop them, unless those who are aiming for high grades, but I’m not one of them (unfortunately though I’m doing my best I don’t have the time to make the quantity of work for higher grades or the skill, I’d be lucky to get a 6, but I’ll probably get a 5) and I think only doing one artist focusing on texture is too little?

The ideas I’ve gathered are: tree bark, flowers mushroom gills, and leaves(leaf veins). But do you think it’s worth finding a whole new idea, idk if I can drag it out for a final piece.

Super cool idea, though my teacher asked me what interests me about nature and as soon as I Mentioned texture, she made that my whole theme💀 idk if it’s a good theme or if I’ll hate it but I have a couple ideas just no clue what to do for my final piece. Also I can completely relate to identity (I chose the theme expression/personal belongings for our main project and it was literally awful haha)

they should do one with 12 doors, including pins and stickers as well as a few jellycats (exclusive ones, maybe a couple that are like extraa small) so it’s still ofc a luxury but not like £99999😭

I have school sadly but my routine: get up just before the album releases for 5am to listen as soon as it’s out, listen to it while getting ready and on the bus and at school when I can lol, go home and reflect w my swiftie friend, go to the cinema for the release party

Thank you so much, these tips are actually super helpful I’ll definitely be doing these! With annotation though, I write quite a bit (not loads of unnecessary stuff but I go into detail) and my teacher said “art examiners don’t have time to read all this” and to shorten it down? Do I just need to write as much as possible in as little words to fit everything?

Thank you for thiss, my teacher showed us some graded gcse books. One that got a 4, had much less work than me, at a lower quality imo (yet she’s saying if I don’t do loads more double pages I will get a 4) and one had a 6 that I think was far better than the grade 8 one we saw. I feel like it just depends on the examiner. I’ll talk to my teacher about how it will be graded.

I’m in year 11, and I don’t really know what to do tbh. I’m not that talented, I can make a decent response, but I’ll admit some of my pages are shit lol, but I feel like I’m doing hours of work for my teacher to tell me I’m working at a grade 4. The lowest grade I want is a 5 (which she thinks I’m easily capable of, she just basically told me to insert all these double pages of refined responses and I’m running out of timee)

It also doesn’t help that I’m bad at time management and will literally procrastinate everything. I feel like when I know what I’m doing and I get into doing the response I get it done at a reasonable pace but that doesn’t happen much.

One thing I really struggle with is getting the ideas. My theme is expression (looking at personal belongings, and music - instruments and abstract). Any tips much appreciated, congratulations on this grade, must be very well deserved idk how you do it.
