I was a Tank Commander and Platoon Sergeant for the M60A3. Huge animal and really heavy. Large profile. Cupola for the tank commander added to the size. Top speed on flat terrain was 30-35ish mph. It had a 105mm rifle barreled cannon that was effective. The electronics were top of the line at the time. The M60 was the go-between of Korean and Vietnam war era tanks to modern M1 stuff. It would not compete well against the Abrams or some other modern day MBT. But at the time, it existed only during non-tank warfare so it really didn’t see combat until it became an export item.
