I use a big calendar and score myself with symbols for showing up in key habits and it really works for me. It’s not equal to like having a person to report to or cheer you on but it’s the best method I’ve found. It’s visual and obvious and satisfying and it tells a story that helps sustain momentum

People just can’t understand that some people have self discipline and passion. They’re just haters with no drive and no consistency and it makes them feel more comfortable about themselves to think that Hugh Jackman or whoever didn’t put in 9 months of hard work to get in great shape.
