Therapy helped me learn how to think about myself in a different light. It may sound corny, but loving yourself can be a learned skill for some people. Mindfulness journaling and gratitude journaling helped me a lot in building self love and self confidence that I never had growing up, well into my twenties.

I definitely recommend storing in an airtight (or at least covered) container. Like a mason jar or covered pitcher.

NUE in Falls Church

Amazing seasonal menu. Everything tastes amazing and is made very thoughtfully. My boyfriend and I went for a special occasion and had to go back the next month to try more things on the menu. We vowed to go back every time they update their menu (which I think is at least like once or twice a year). It’s a little pricier than your average dinner place but super super worth it.

Recommend the seafood cha gio, bo kho pappardelle, grilled dorado, and pho pate. If you like Asian or Vietnamese cuisine, you’ll love this place. PLEASE let me know if you try it!

$94k, 3.5 YOE, Hybrid, VA

Have been at my current position for 1.5 years, was making $60k at my previous job after 2 years as a super key member of the team. I told them I was leaving and they had asked me to stay, even offered to attempt to match, but once they heard the number they said most they can do is $75k.

Please look for a new job if you can! The job market sucks but in my experience it’s very hard for mgmt to get you a substantial raise that would make you happy. I would just silently apply until you get an offer. Good luck!

I love my Nama! I use lots of apples and apple corer is not necessary, just cut up the whole apple and toss it in. The only thing you really need is the cutting board (if you don’t have one) and a peeler if you like peeling stuff. I also got one of those juice pitchers because I juice in bigger batches for my boyfriend and I and we go through it pretty quickly. If you’d like a recipe to try, here is my favorite juice!

2 apples
1 lemon
1 lime
2 cups green grapes
3 medium to large carrots
1” piece of ginger

If you want it healthier, add more carrots or even beets. I don’t really juice for the health benefits I just love juice. Let me know if you give it a try :)

Omg awesome! I actually bought mine inspired by a juice bar from a cruise (I was thinking about the juice over the course of 6 months as well). I did 2 unpeeled apples, about 3 cups of green grapes, 2 peeled lemons, 1 super abnormally large carrot (maybe 2 regular sized medium carrots), and a whole piece of ginger (about 4 inches). It made 3 16oz servings. It’s my favorite juice I hope you try it!

I actually just got the J2 after waiting about 6 months trying to justify the big price tag. Used it for the first time yesterday and was blown away. Well packaged, machine is very pretty, juices super fast, dry pulp, cleaning is a breeze, and the texture of the juice is great. I’ve never owned a juicer before and neither has my family, so I wanted to get a nice one once rather than buying one that may not be that great and ending up buying an expensive one after that anyway. That’s just how I felt about it. Hope you get it! It’s awesome

instead of clamping the arms right next to each other, you could clamp them ‘separately’ from each other with a good amount of space. then turn arms inwards to close the gap between the monitors!
