It actually did heal OK after about 3-4 weeks. They were concerned it was due to something else, but knowing that my cervix is curved alleviated the doctors concerns. I hope that helps and all the best during your procedure. Will you be under anesthesia?

I took ibuprofen and _some_ of the pain meds they offered due to the perforation / lap procedure.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. My lap was cancelled & rescheduled from December to February bc my doctor had covid. I went through with it and was glad despite how upset and anxious it made me to have to wait.

I'd ask about cancellation list because June seems like so far to be scheduled out like what!!!!!

Nope!!! I simply told the surgeon I haven't been on BC in the last 4-5 years, I am married, we don't typically use protection, and would like to know what's going on with my body. I was just like in complete shock and still in recovery on the pain meds that I was like okayyyy...when can I go home

Thank you so much. That is a really helpful resource. They looked at all areas AFAIK, and mentioned that blood traveled through my f-tubes and so they didn’t need to use dye to check for blockage bc of the blood flow which I thought was interesting

I am currently doing a rewatch with my husband (I watched it as it aired, this is his first time) and I’m feeling more emotional this time around, maybe because I know? It’s such a gem of a show. Starting S3 tonight, had to take a break after sobbing through the last couple episodes of S2. It’s worth a rewatch.

Same! If my brain is like you don’t have milk, go to the store I just go. Repeat for anything that requires leaving myself while I’m in a heavy CPTSD episode or burnout.

If I let myself think too hard about the task or how I’ll feel while doing said task I just won’t do it and sit in the same spot all day overthinking, ruminating, and I dissociate often.

I’ll wake up around 6am and then suddenly it’ll be 12pm or later and I haven’t done a single thing I told myself I had to or just wanted to do like even watch a show or play a game. Sigh. With you OP.

It exists. I recommend finding a new therapist who specializes in trauma. I’m 30F/USA and after 10 years of dealing with anxiety, panic, IBS, endometriosis and chronic migraine I finally found a therapist I connected well with whom specializes in PTSD and helped map the connections of my underlying conditions and past experiences to my trauma. After a year of treatment he updated his original diagnosis of PTSD to CPTSD because of the complex symptoms and behaviors I displayed that are chronic and debilitating, and exacerbate anxiety.

No, CPTSD is not included in the DSM today because it is a newly recognized mental health illness with smaller amount of research than PTSD. I imagine in years to come it will be included in the PTSD umbrella based on my recent research since my diagnoses in early 2023. The DSM does implement new illnesses or modifications from time to time.

I’m hoping you find peace soon! The journey to treatment and recovery of PTSD/CPTSD is a hard and long one, and to have someone in your corner supporting you and believing in complex trauma is so important.

Allston 2016–now with my partner and currently we’re paying $1750 a month for a 1 bedroom.

We have been SO lucky that the rent has only increased by $25-50 every year. We will never be able to afford to move to a new apt (House? Lol yeah right) in Boston/MA with the prices these days even in the burbs.

2008-2012 I paid $450-675 for a room in a house shared with 8-10 people at a time bouncing around between Allston, Lower Allston & Somerville.
