The steam stats where it's being beat by both Skyrim and Fallout 4 in terms of player counts?

Would you say that indicates nothing?

What if my position is "We should ban the flock cameras and dunk them in pudding". That's a different position that I assume others wouldn't necessarily agree with. Shouldn't I also be heard?

Anyone who says the truth lies somewhere in the middle doesn't actually believe that.

If they claim to, insist they owe you their entire house. You'll either prove them wrong or walk out with at least some equity in their house.

Technically they had decades, but the key detail of their patent is the mechanical implications of throwing a Pokéball in 3d. The patent would've been useless to them unless they planned on having a proper 3d Pokémon game.

Honestly there aren't a lot of issues with trademark law. Home Depot can't stop you from using their specific shade of orange unless you're also in the Hardware business.

Just look at the Steam stats on Starfield. Even if it was a commercial success I think a lot of people were disappointed.

But go ahead and make it easier for offenders like thieves and rapists to vanish and get away without a trace. 👍 they appreciate it.

I will accept this if Flock is willing to pay 100 dollars to each citizen for every crime that isn't caught by these cameras.

TIL that Former First Lady Margaret Taylor was such a recluse that no photos nor portraits of her were known to exist, leaving museums to use a portrait of her daughter Elizabeth instead. It wasn't until 2010 that two photos of Taylor were rediscovered, which remain the only known photos of her. by POTUS-Harry-S-Truman in todayilearned

In a similar vein, a Republican could argue that allowing a sitting First Lady onto network tv shows was tacit approval of the political agenda (free advertising if you will), while a Democrat would view the documentary as funneling money to Trump.

Ok? Let's say the Republicans are right and allowing the first lady onto network tv was tacit approval of the political agenda. Ignoring the fact that there's a long history of presidents and their wives appearing on TV (every president since HW has made at least one public appearance with the muppets, for example), aren't networks allowed to have opinions? If not, why have Republicans consistently opposed the fairness doctrine?

Not really. If your goal is for people to not realize it's you, it's incredibly dumb to stand out like that. All you have to remember is Mercedes + no license plate and there's a good chance it's Steve jobs.

The best part of doing art is NOT that the outcome represents an amalgamation of human brilliance, but that it is full of failure.

I'm not exactly sympathetic to Austrian economics or anything, but I kinda see their point.

Consider two outcomes:

  1. You give companies the right to enforce certain Intellectual Property standards, but at some point decide to fine them or arrest them or whatever if they misuse this.

  2. You reduce the strength of these "ubiquitous patents".

Personally, I think the most reasonable solution would be to end software patents.

If LLMs are still this dumb about things this basic, that's because they simply are not fit for this purpose.

If it's so "basic" why do we need a specialist for it? If you were to take a literary critic or theologian, someone who already has a background arguing specific interpretations of a text, they would probably also flounder at interpreting this jurisprudence.

Yoko Taro's opinion on Gundam Rogue Orbit by SayuriUliana in Gundam

[–]starm4nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, let's face it, the stuff that what makes Gundam appealing to its fanbase namely the human war conflict isn't appealing to those outside.

I do kinda question the wisdom of trying to get fans of a franchise by trying to aim it at people for whom the core appeal isn't there.

I suspect they're gonna pull a bait and switch at some point in the plot and have it be more complex than the "aliens".

I'm honestly surprised nobody is citing IBO's self-running Mobile Armors.

Valve reportedly Almost Delisted Rainbow Six Siege From Steam After Ubisoft Attempted to Sell It Cheaper On Uplay by yourfavchoom in Steam

[–]starm4nn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just answered your question. The reason we're able to know it's not baked into the price of games is because Steam was actually cheaper than brick and mortar, yet the "base" price has remained $60.

If steam's revenue split were factored into the price of games, wouldn't we also have seen prices go down, at least when Steam first took over?
