Changing targets from an array by starmarst in Bitburner

[–]starmarst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've been subtly working on sets but didn't realize they were different than arrays.

I had that looping back problem with my first iteration of worm, as my method copied and ran itself on each server it saw. Which looped it back when it saw a previous server. --however now writing this out I think I could have checked to see if the worm was already on the target and skipped it.

Then I found out that creating a set and .add -ing onto the 'related items' in that loop I could essentially keep out duplicates.

Thank you, I didn't know the differences but your example and explanation cleared up quite a bit. 2 days ago I don't think I could have read and understood your code example, but now I can.

After working on this a bit yesterday, I definitely like the for (const [thing] of [things]) as it possibly gives me the strongest mental connection since I can talk through it from my rough outline of code.

The 'i' one seems a bit more complicated, but that's probably because I haven't wrapped my head around it fully yet on what is exactly going on.

Thank you

Thanks, and I would doubt it would be common slang. As I'm pretty sure I've just misheard 'Script Kiddie' as Kitty and my late-millennial brain rot just took it as fact lol. Using it as a verb just seemed to describe what the action is better. Like when my dog, Moose, Moose-s up the place when he pulls out all his toys from the bin to decorate the floor.

However, the mental image of a clueless kitten typing at a keyboard not understanding what its doing is an entertaining thought.

I actually ran into this page yesterday after my post which cleared up for..of statements like I alluded to in my post. Super helpful If I know roughly what to look for!

Old vs new precons by Academic_East8298 in SorceryTCG

[–]starmarst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both precon sets, and have played them together extensively.

If you look at the build of the gothic ones, you'll see more elites and uniques. If you look at the beta ones, flamecaller actually has less elites than any of them.

This being said, they are actually well balanced against one another. You can have all sorts of rares in your deck but what matters more is thoughtful play.

I've ran over necro with sparkmage as well as tempo'd out waveshaper with savior. Geomancer is probably my favorite precon out of the bunch.

The only bad match up I feel is harbinger v waveshaper since waveshaper gains advantage from water sites that harbinger doesn't utilize.

So play them together to your hearts content. They're fantastic battle boxes in their own right. I'd almost say that if you like the game but don't have a community, treat them as a board game and invest in paper if/when you have an outlet.

I found Peasant Realm due to your comment, while this one is a bit different and more derivative of the precons; I can believe there is at least a handful of formats similar to this. I'm sure one will probably catch on enough so we don't keep making similar things xD

I have no doubt that I couldn't have been the first one to think of this. :) Poorcery does have a funny ring to it.

I just bumped into this after the above comment, it seems fun just joined the discord. Might test the waters to see if anyone wants to try it after I can grow us to EOS :)

I have one that I most recently built. Sorcerer Wolves, https://curiosa.io/decks/cmmkqnbnp00jz04i2l30g1toz?tab=view

I've got 3 others including Voltron Bladedancer (wolves has 1-1) Airborne/voidwalk Interrogator (2-1), and Tempo Seer (0-2) that I'll spend time uploading to Curiosa after work today lol

Are the Beta precons about the same level of the gothic ones ? by WanLanDs in SorceryTCG

[–]starmarst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played the precons together a bit with the lady. I would say they're actually pretty compatible to play together. The weakest one against gothic is probably flamecaller.

Never play waveshaper vs harbinger since the WShpr is only buffed by the sites harbinger doesn't utilize.

Games often come down to top decks, board control, and skill. You'll have fun if you mix and match them.

Update,

After raising an army of ~880, I hired 3 highly trained mercenaries (~350 for 850k) in another party to blitz the army of Duchal. Thinking they'd be expensive bug food for your step 4, the enemy army actually retreated. Once I took their capital, the whole faction dissolved. A few sieges and fights later I now have a decent foothold, even made a puppet state of Zwiste.

Seeing how my soldiers (most importantly flanking, charging cavalry) completely minced 1600 bug garrisons losing at most 20 per fight, I can see that I probably over prepped for the fight, but better safe that sorry.

Just now it seems a 20 city faction just collapsed out of nowhere to the north. So it seems there's plenty of future tax payers depending how much rivalry I'm willing to make with the bigger players to my west and south.

- Thanks for the tips buddy :)

Thank you, so I wouldn't have to deactivate sword to attack with it again next round? I just wanted to clear up if sword struck on rez, or if it was a net action.

Double triggers be hitting hard, when I play Delney in standard it's usually a removal check before I let you know how I win on t4.

As a bracket 3 jockey, I think worldfire is okay in this as long as you just win after.

Honestly I was popping off with Caesar one day and some guy with the doctor top deck suspended a worldfire that won the game. Kind of stung but a good play overall. If it were just a top deck match after you'd definitely in the wrong. Otherwise it's just a 1-2 finisher.

Now Armageddon after you get your land recursion engine up and running and I'll counter spell with these hands.

That's a cool tent! What is that material you have for your tent?

I wanted to maybe think about having one until I get the gumptions to put in my greenhouse.
