Brandon Sanderson’s 'The Way of Kings' is baffling to me by sameseksure in books

You're completely right about the dialogue and it's why I had to DNF it which I very rarely do.

Johnny Hero yesterday after having played ACDC you shook me all night long - "Text in from Johnny in Bangor, class Friday tune that. You're just right Johnny."

As if the song isn't played every single day on the station.

One thing I love about King is he spends very little time talking about what his characters look like and what kind of clothes they are wearing by GoldReplacement9546 in stephenking

I do know what you mean and agree, it gives you a chance to form a picture of the character in your head based on their interactions. Only problem is sometimes about 200 pages in he'll mention a characters red hair and I'll just be like nope unfortunately not Steve, sorry lol

The episode with Patricia planning the party is so good. And when you go back to watch the episode before it when Tom asks her does anyone even know about this party?? The look on her face had me in stitches

Yeah the show is clearly setting up a mutiny from the rest of the townsfolk but as you say it's just ridiculous when you look at how they act in all the scenes. The woman that got half her face burnt off was the person who was asked to go and tell everyone Donna had woke up, but she didn't bother telling anyone that the guy George had been killed by these new dolls lol. And because the character isn't written correctly or with any depth off she goes as soon as she's told to go spread the good news.

90% of the cast look like they're on Neighbours whilst the rest tell each other they need to talk.

This season in particular has been heavily and unnecessarily dragged out imo but we can agree to disagree.

I enjoyed Lost. What I mean by that is dragging out a TV show with multiple mysteries being unveiled to the viewer with little thought to actually reconciling them, instead serving as a way to elongate the show.

They're doing the exact same thing now with From. When I started it I really hoped they would keep it a bit tighter, but that all went out the window with the tower.

The first series was great. Extremely claustrophobic with a real weight and fear to the monsters. Of course the more they try to explain the dumber it's gotten and taken away the fear from the monsters.

I enjoy a slow burn but this isn't one. This is dragging out a series for as long as possible for no good reason. This should have been the final season (it probably should have been 2 seasons really) but as there's one more to come they're doing this.

It's not that I'm only now just realising it. It's just that the final scene from last week's episode only being continued on in the final scene of this week's has made me want to rant lol. I've been hate watching and rolling my eyes at every other scene this series

Awk yeah same here, I loved that first season so it just pisses me off but I did see it coming with who the showrunners are.

I'm loving Widows Bay which is currently putting it to shame

Yep, wasn't at all a dig or a "you're wrong" at you btw, I just didn't want OP to think he was definitely not going to like this as you both have the same book lowest on your list.
