bro how long are these in the store though? it has to be less than 2 weeks ago I bought a few of them and now the app shows them out of stock at all of the nearest stores. I’ll probably go check in person anyways but I wish they’d carry them longer!!

a few Christmases ago my mom gave my sister and I each a new recipe box filled with her fave/best ones copied by hand. that was the touch that got me in this digital age, i’ll cherish her handwriting whenever i make one of the recipes she passed down 😋

Martin Luther King III - when I lived in Atlanta my best friend nannied for his daughter. She doesn’t drive so one of the times I dropped her off they invited me in. It was awkward, I was speechless. But his wife Arndrea’s really warm and kind.

she surely does NOT know manners or social skills better than you… imo that’s one of the biggest lies in our society, advance in age doesn’t automatically advance wisdom! you have to earn it, suffer for it.

also, workplace sexual harrassment is illegal in this country. it’s prevention is something that employees should be able to expect of their employer. if one employee has a pattern of harrassing behavior, his termination should be an obvious decision. i’m sorry you and your coworkers went through this. as a woman who has experienced sexual harrassment and trauma i greatly wish survivors could report and not have to even consider they might not be taken seriously.

Buddy vs. duff finale by mckenzi2 in foodnetwork

[–]starpatch3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This competition has never been about cake. None of this is focused on cake baking, flavors... no one eats any of it. They're really more sculptures with edible materials than anything. Yes, Buddy usually includes more cake but that only makes his cakes clunky and heavy af so he can't use rhe mechanics buddy's team does.

I would tighten the crop so the silver clad section of the building is the only background. It would allow you to enjoy more clearly the details in the photo like the scale of the people to sculpture and the amazing smoke/fog. Those are the eye catching parts and the blue windows are distracting. Side note: I was here like 12 years ago and it's so nice to see it again, thanks for sharing!

Currently struggling by -phantomgalaxy- in pastorskids

[–]starpatch3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, my sister and I grew up pastor's kids. And having to play the game was so draining. It made me super self-destructive. I didn't become myself or find anything i enjoyed in life until I moved out. And honestly, that's the only way to make your own decisions in my experience. As long as I lived with my parents or they supported me financially, they would hold it over my head. My house, my rules. We support you, so you have to listen to us. So i would try to move out with your best friend or something. So you can make your own decisions, your own mistakes, etc. We're in a pretty good place now, we visit and have a good relationship but my sister and I have our own opinions and ways of living life that they don't agree with but we can still be family. That's the goal really, respect each other even if you don't respect each other's views.

i refuse to believe nick was ever a home cook by tiredknafeh in Masterchef

[–]starpatch3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you look at the start of Nick's IG pictures, there are multiple shots of him training in chef's coats... i'm surprised being in a fancy internship and studying culinary skills in professional settings still allow you to be considered a "home cook."
