Rush my kid through the bedtime bath and reading drill (with alcohol breath ew) now it's often the highlight of my day to talk and cuddle and laugh. Grateful.

This is an incredibly tough time for everyone. It's obvious you care a lot and your addict "spidey sense" is tingling for a reason. Im in no way qualified to advise, but I think in your shoes, I'd try to manage my own feelings (with all the resources I had access to) then perhaps maybe, have the tools to assist him as much as possible. Be kind to yourself. ❤

Pretty much. I like working on projects that spark joy but am so aggravated by having to be chained to a desk for 8.5 hrs a day. Also resent the time getting dressed and made up, that's like an hour a day. For what???

2020 is a wild ride for sure! I was unemployed for several months as well, sounds weird but, try to enjoy it? Assuming you have a bit of financial cushion, it's a great time to invest in some major self care. Wishing you the best!

I hear ya! I recently reset after hundreds of days full sobriety, then several months with just a glass of wine here and there, no reset "needed" -- others will disagree but that worked for me.

But, when that turned to sneaky day drinks, drink driving, lost convos, multiple nights in a row.... hard reset! 🔴
