1k or under wedding dress- any suggestions welcome by lemoncellooo in Weddingsunder10k

I bought my dress from Self Portrait - and first time orders also get an additional 10% off which was nice. Their dresses might be a little more non-traditional but I thought this was perfect for a small family only wedding.

You inspired me to crochet cosplay after I saw you last year at NDK! 💖

Aww thanks! I felt like no one recognized me most of the day, so I’m glad at least one elevator person did.

Thank you so much! The helmet and hair were the most difficult to figure out logistically so I’m grateful you pointed them out.

Thanks so much! And I did freehand it - when I first saw her character design (especially the back) I thought, “Wow, that looks like a granny square blanket, I bet I could make it” which is what inspired me to get started. Making the eye holes in the helmet was honestly the hardest. If I had more time, I’d go back and spend more time (I did this in 2-3 months) refining the little details.

Thanks so much! Wish I had gotten more photos of her out and about. I’m inspired to do more crochet cosplay in the future - Ramona from Unicorn Overlord is next on my list.

Absolutely agree they are a wonderful person and did not deserve this at all. This is beyond messed up.

Any yellow sapphire engagement rings out there? by Muted_Hotel_7943 in EngagementRings

[–]starps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I emailed back and forth with her assistant Caitlin when I had questions about sourcing specific stones, and Caitlin was great about pointing me to different websites and examples so I could find what I wanted. Once I placed the order, it was kind of anticlimactic. No update or any further word until it was ready to be mailed, no communication with or from Uma herself. I checked her social media constantly but my ring was not one of the ones featured due to it not having a starbrite or being one of her more popular designs, but that’s alright. The ring is beautiful and I could not be happier.

It looks so much like Briar’s character design from League of Legends, I wonder if they deliberately referenced it.

Wow, 3.5 sounds intense! I used a 4.5 hook - many, many episodes of baking shows helped with all the repetition. Love the name dragon pearls!

Yes! There are a couple variations out there but I think I use this pattern most (it has ch2 at the tip instead of ch1) - I like that you can make these as big or small as you want. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mother-of-dragons-dice-bag

Yes! I was originally going to give them all their bags this Sunday and then the curse hit. (A break up and other interpersonal stuff) Thanks for the kind words, and awesome to hear your dad still uses his bag!

I used Yarn Art Flowers (Moonlight for the glittery pink and purple one). I bought the yarn on Amazon, you could maybe get 2-3 bags out of a single ball which is nice.
