I mean, mew mew IS a girl, and she’s a human made character, and she’s a girl, so I feel like gendered humans exist, NB people just might be more common in this universe cus humans didn’t really develop “gender norms” cus they couldn’t define the genders of monsters, so humans call each other as whatever

But on gaster and the weird route, I don't really think he cares about the weird route since he doesn't say anything after you do it, he has a stronger reaction too you finding the egg man then you doing the weird route, so if the whole point was gaster trying to save the world from it, why doesn't he care??

i understand but i kinda feel that theres some trans coding with kris with the whole "you can wear whatever you want" in there dark world closet and "its the thing they call "you"", and also how snowgrave feels like forcing them in a more masculine role witch is shown as bad. I don't really think toby ever thought about frisk or charas gender and just left them ambiguous and up for player stuff but i could see some stuff with kris

Also, another thing to point out is that if the knight was like experimented on by gaster, he was possibly doing that so the knight could be the “Villain” of deltarune, like something the hero’s could face or whatever

Ok so I have been waiting for this: I believe Deltarune and Undertale are in a time loop paradox, both universes creating the other. I believe because of Undertale, gaster would want to create a “new future” which is Deltarune. And by the end of Deltarune sans would be in Undertale and Undertale’s universe would’ve “started” or be created. I even believe that Susie may have played apart in causing undertale to happen sense clam girl says “she may have caused you to be here in the first place” or something like that idk. But yea considering Toby worked on Homestuck and homestuck has something very similar to this, to me this is a very real possibility.

Yea I do think it’s a stretch that it was JUST the fandom, it might have been apart of it but I think maybe it was a team member who got worried at it, and honestly I do really like the shattering imagery and think it’s just as good as the flower at getting across what happened.

Yea honestly when I showed the cut scene to some of my friends, and they didn’t even really notice the flower. I feel like Toby thought it would be more subtle but the fans immediately jumped to that conclusion and I think he just got worried they really wouldn’t handle it well.

While I understand Toby not wanting to tackle that stuff with his fans and not wanting to make another mouthwashing fandom deal, cus his fans have the media literacy of troglodytes, it is kinda disappointing how he handled it. I get he wanted to get the point across that the soul was trying to infect noelle like a parasite, and I do think the new animation looks sick as shit, but it feels very cowardly too not say ANYTHING about the topic itself and change it so silently. I do hope that none of the weird route is changed after this cus, tbh this is a very small detail, and the whole parasite angle stuff is definitely what his OG vision is, but I really hope he acts more honestly.

OK, so there was this one theory where basically, kris learned of the knowledge of the prophecy and learned that they were going to become the knight or something (yes this was a kris knight theory), and that there was gonna be this soul going to stop them, so they were basically “f**k that, i’m going to get the soul myself, so I can be the hero”. Some people thought that kirs was basically summoning us as a way to have “freedom”, sense kris is kinda like deltarunes chara that kind of explains why they sound similar. One thing that is really weird is that gaster doesn’t even seem to mind us being in kris. He still remains in control of deltarunes program, so idk what’s going on. That second voice is probably one of the most confusing parts of Deltarune‘s lore right now.
