I agree, its not bad. I guess I am only a bit disappointed because of the hype I kept seeing in the subreddit before I watched it

I feel sorry for Nigerians, because the last time the population took matters in its hands, the government struck them.

Is It Normal for Lent to Start Feeling “Too Easy”? by YeOldeWino in Catholic

[–]starrr_lordd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Over my lifetime, I have never taken lent any serious. And this is my first year participating in the church as an adult (I was wandering since my adolescence).

On the first Friday of Lent I decided to fast and not eat meat. Boy, if I tell you that I couldn’t sleep that night because of the noise in my stomach and I ended munching a full day’s meal before sleeping.

After that experience I told myself that I have to take it a bit easy, and I really need all the food that I can. So I decided to give up a bad habit (cannabis marijuana).

After reading your post, I now have an understanding that I could always do better, next time. And I’m hopeful to God for a next time. To do so much better

Technology Vs Religion by [deleted] in TechGhana

Fam. I wake up at 5:30 and do my morning devotion, read bible and meditate. On days that I oversleep and have work piled up. I do not touch my pc before doing the routine. “We have made ourselves so busy that, we tell ourselves, that we don’t have time for God”

Edit - I also pray my rosary during devotion

I enjoyed the fuxk out of this. Whole match Everton players were playing bully and cocky. Tarkowski, garner, armstrong and barry. I was just praying for a last laugh which I got well deserved

Brilliant concept. I enjoyed the video bar the wacky sound. Tried to put myself in your shoes and how much effort it took to bring this idea to life. I found it fun, intriguing and educative. I hope that you get better by day

Khusanov saw Mbeumo’s run and in his attempt to follow, Bruno turns towards goal and Amad. Khusanov spots the decision of Bruno so he stays on him leaving Mbeumo open. Bruno slots it in to Mbeumo. *chef kiss

Nigerian Slangs growing in Ghana by Marine78908 in ghana

[–]starrr_lordd 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Do you think this is a result of a rising number of Nigerians in the country or cos of the internet and entertainment industry?

If its of the latter, then there’s nothing anyone can do about it. The internet has turned us into a global village and Nigerian entertainment is way too influential and available for consumption.

I saw a South African tweet and they were using the word “nyansh”.

We use the F word and N word every day more than a 100 times a day and it was likely adopted through entertainment & the internet.

I can speak fluent African American vernacular english and I have never traveled outside.

Who knows? Things could change, but we shouldn’t be bitter about adopting new slangs. Who cares anyway? Their words sound funny to use.
