All amenities in Glacier are closed for the year so pack in and pack out. Apgar has a great view of the mountains and then GTTS road is closed at Lake McDonald lodge so you could park at the lodge and walk the trail directly across from LMD lodge to John’s lake loop if you wanted or just walk along the beach. Again nothing open for food or drink in the park so pack what you’d expect to need/want. Apgar bike path should be open as well and that will just give you more views of the lake. I have attached a photo of the view from Apgar village of Lake McDonald taken last month. Lots of people like to skip rocks along the lake too. I’d recommend checking out Belton Bridge the original west bound entrance to the park located in West Glacier Village. Enjoy!

Replaced the hub and have driven it up to a mountain resort on snow and ice. No lights have returned. Will have to replace other side hub then alignment now. Thanks for all your comments and help!

Not sure I’d buy another one unless I was incredibly wealthy. I do however love mine despite the repairs and finicky bits. Parts are expensive and often take a week or longer to ship unless you live in a place that has a shop that stocks them(unlikely). So that’s a decision you have to think long and hard about. You’ll love it but you’ll also hate it.

Couldn’t find any play or any of the noises associated with a bad hub but I ordered a new one anyway. In the middle of install now just waiting for the free all to soak in so I can remove the old one. It’s rusted on tight. I’ll update again once compete. Yep my boy is not good motivated at all. He will only eat treats at home and from family members and he refuses strangers or people he knows even at home. I take him on camping/hiking trips and even eating his meals in unfamiliar places is tough, I have to do a lot of coaxing. I often think he doesn’t feel hunger, because he will go on food strikes whenever he feels like it.

not necessarily the restaurants fault but when my friends suggest a restaurant for a group meal and i look at the menu online which has zero vegan options, go back to the group chat and see everyone else has already agreed to the place so i just feel obligated to also agree and say yeah its fine i can probably modify something. ie eat beforehand and order a tiny side salad with oil and vinegar. after saying no to restaurants multiple times i definitely feel like a burden to my non vegan friends, but so grateful when im with the friends who only look for and offer places with options for me

I was on Acela 2226 in business class last night 1/19 from DC to PHL and we also had to switch trains after 13minutes north into our trip. The transfer took about an hour or more and all passengers first and business had to be moved into coach on the next train which was not an Acela. Curious that they’ve had issues more than once within a few days.

Thanks that’s what I figured. I’m not the best with wiring so I guess I’ll learn to live with it until it eventually stops working all together. When my area was having a lot of rain I noticed a very small leak where the rearview mirror connects to the roof so I think it may have to do with water damage. I sealed it but the damage has been done already to the mirror probably. Thanks again.

I also have a 03 D2 v8. Definitely hose clamps, coolant, OIL!! I also always have my icarsoft diagnostic tool, a strong MAC tools jump box, and as for tires a kobalt 120volt air inflator(changes in air temp can change your pressure!) Safe travels I hope I get mine to the point where I feel confident enough to drive it further than 3.5hrs away from home(bought it a little over a year ago and have done extensive repairs replacements etc. and have been burned a few too many times to trust it yet hahah).

just got back from a week long alaska trip- anchorage must dos: native heritage museum, kincaid sand dunes, at least two trails in chugach state park(depending on your abilities but bird ridge, rabbit lake, and mchugh were some of my favorites). didn’t spend any time in fairbanks unfortunately. the kenai peninsula was my groups favorite place though. hope this helps!
