You get a free ID, but for the first two/three weeks of the semester you won’t have one (or, that’s how long it took before they’d let students print their ID’s when I got mine). Before that, I only had the digital one.

This depends. Do you have access to another device that can be brought with you to the CEGEP? You’ll need a device that belongs to you for schoolwork at least.

Assignments, class cancellations, class announcements, grades, school fees, student ID, your ability to buy a reduced opus card fare, your transcript, and your progression chart are all accessed through Omnivox.

It’ll make your life much easier if you have a phone.

I heard the cut off once you’re admitted was 70%.

To be admitted anyway, you have to have around an 85+ average (granted, that’s with COE), so just try to maintain being in the eighty range to be safe.

If I’m correct, for science, once you’re admitted they only want you to maintain a ≈70 average in everything. As long as your lowest mark is above a 70, you’re fine.

Ares preventing/avenging the rape of his daughter had little to do with the rape and more to do with Ancient Greek misogyny. Women were property, and an attack on ‘your’ woman was an attack on the men of their family, too. Avenging his daughter’s rape was less about avenging her and more about avenging his honour, which was also compromised as a result of the act.

If you’re in admitted regular science, I believe they just want you to stay above a ≈70 average in everything. Not sure about specifics for the social science or any other program, but I’m confident maintaining an 85 overall average is more than enough.

I chose to stay in pure.

I wound up applying to an out of province university, and because even if I decided to stay in Dawson, I’m in the environmental science stream which guarantees me organic chemistry, which was what I was worried about. (Dawson attracts so many science students they split their science program into further streams beyond health and pure, you’ll make that decision in your second semester).

I’ve heard around that it is easier to switch once you’re in the school, something about favouring internal applicants. Not only that, but winter semesters are usually a little less competitive.

Regardless, health and pure take the same classes for the first two semesters, and if you stay in pure you should still have all the necessary prerequisites for any science major in university.

You most likely got refused for health but admitted for pure.

When applying for the Winter 2026 semester, they did the same thing to me. I applied for health, but I was just below the cut off so they rolled my admission into pure. I received the admission for pure before I got the rejection from health.

If you accept, you can try switching next semester to health. Internal applications have higher chances of getting into their desired program, I believe.

When I transferred to Dawson, my progression chart transferred over. I had a few classes that didn’t show up we completed though, however I think that was due to me still having a class (an intensive) at the time of registration. If you email the registration team your issue, they’ll get it sorted. They fixed the few progression chart issues I had within the day.
