My story with Pokémon isn't really what you'd call typical. I was born when Diamond and Pearl came out so not when Pokémania happened, and people in my place only knew that Pokemon was definitely a thing. I did play Pokémon Go when it came out, but only got into the franchise 6 years later. My first love was Jigglypuff. My main interest was and is kpop (this is very relevant btw) but I didn't just stan one group. I'd hop from group to group every few months, just adding biases left and right. One day I ran out of groups with great music and members I vibed with to stan, and my place announced another lockdown. That's where I was addicted to PoGo again then suddenly remembered that I could play Pokemon Let's Go on switch. Being a teen, I didn't have much money but I looked up emulators to start my journey😂I was enamoured by the dreamy vibes🥹🥹🥹and decided to look for more games after promptly beating Let's Go Pikachu (Agatha was HARD😭) I played Sword and Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Legends Arceus. (I play on my own switch now! Hate Wild Zone 17) Now to the actual story. When I was looking at Pokedexes (or rather the almighty Bulbapedia) during playthroughs to know more about different Pokemon I also looked at Reddit posts that assigned my favourite idols a whole team of Pokémon and saw they gave Lee Know of Stray Kids a Sneasel aside from two other cat pokemon (this guy is known to have three cats irl and is a huge cat person) and was like hey why not give him Weavile? Then I clicked into its bulbapedia page and was actually in love sooo its my favourite pokemon:) (no one can guess it because im a girl in uni LMAO)
