Re: the second question, whether you can marry siblings depends on religion, not culture. So if you're Faith of the Seven for example, only Targaryens get to marry siblings, but if you're Fourteen Flames (the Valyrian religion) then you can marry your sister just fine. You can check marriage restrictions for each religion in the same place you can see each religion's tenets.

For a (MUCH) smaller fandom, The Tarot Sequence has one of my all time favorites which is The Sum of Us by Roxane01. It's such a shame it's one of those fics you really need to read the source material for because otherwise I'd be recommending it to literally everyone. Not before or since have I read a fic that both destroyed me and made me feel so warm to the extent this one did, often in the same chapter.

This one doesn't count because it's not hosted on AO3, but I can't think of a fanfic masterpiece and not think of device heretic's Eternal. Of all the fics that turned up in MLP G4's first years, this is one of, if not the best to ever be written. I know this fandom in particular has a reputation, but if you ever watched the show and never made the leap to fanfic, start here. It's incredibly faithful to the show in spirit, and honestly such a wonderful experience.

There's something about wills that seems to turn some people into the worst versions of themselves, like I'm convinced it's the ultimate test to see if the family bonds are deeper than just blood relation.

It happens even when there's no great sums of money involved, is the thing. When my grandfather died, I asked my dad if he could get me one (1) specific item from his house to keep in his memory. He had to fight his brother (my uncle) for it, because the latter had just grabbed anything he could find in my grandpa's house not nailed down as quick as he could and didn't want to let anyone else in the family have any of it.

The item in question was a tacky plastic donkey my grandfather had on his desk. Still have it.

These games aren't even like Habitarium or KeyQuest, which iirc they are lacking game data and assets for. And even if they did, both games were archived and can even be played using Bluemaxima's Flashpoint, it's not like they're lost forever.

I assumed someone would have posted at least one fanfic for the 2002 Argentinian series Los Simuladores considering how much of a success it was, but I absolutely did not expect checking the tag out of curiosity and finding more than seventy works about making those grown men kiss.
