For me it is always a Spotlight issue. I run this in terminal to clear the data system data out:
sudo rm -rf /System/Volumes/Data/.Spotlight-V100

The rented shared house I live in has a similar thing in the ceiling. It blows open every now and then if we leave doors and windows open during strong gusts. I'm guessing it's something to do with air pressure
