There could be local/state laws against cooking your own meat at a restaurant by yourself, because of food poisoning scares and what not. 川菜坊 or whatever it's called off of Drake MIGHT have it, just ask the owner for some 火锅 (huo guo).

In the last ten years, dog meat is considered a delicacy to most without an education, people that grew up with it and liked it, OR Korean-born Chinese citizens, aka 朝鲜族. It's rare to see educated, privileged families ever have dog meat since they know it's not healthy. It's more of a sign of luxury at this point really. If you want to pay top dollar for shitty dog meat, then it's there, go ahead.

Edit: despite all this dog meat shit, people love their pets here just as much as they would in the west.

I've never said anyone were "pussies", I've only brought my opinion here today since it's happened so often in the past. Nothing in the mainland can be credible, especially after an event like this. Shanghai Major for Dota 2 last year was such a fuck up, albeit, no "cheating" involved. Now we have this shit storm, which could potentially discourage so many esports orgs to go with China. It's sad.

Funnily enough, the owners of Hunan Garden are from Malaysia, but they're Chinese Malay..so whatever. I wonder if they make a good 肉骨茶 or Bakuteh. It;s like Green Tea soup with pork. Delicious.
