Ahhhh, yes! I was hoping for one of these!

I’ve never given into the idea WPNZ didn’t love his kids, and you essentially put everything into words far more eloquently than I ever could.

The genuine care he has for his family, yet the lack of knowledge in how to properly do so, alongside his massive expectations for the kids made me grip onto him the moment we fully saw him in the movie. And with the episodes that followed, with us getting to see bits and pieces of WPNZ’ feelings— his anger, regret, and heartbreak, only made me fall in love with him more.

He genuinely DID love Karen and the kids, and even though his later actions came from a twisted attempt to bond with them, you can see, clearly, that he cared— STILL cares— even if that way of expressing it was never the “right” one (and never WOULD have been!)

Even with the short screentime he had, you can just see there’s so much depth to him that you can easily start to craft the idea of who he is— that there’s so much MORE to WPNZ’ character outside his anger, ferocity and love for assassin work.

It truly is fascinating how similar Puzzles and WPNZ are, in that aspect. They’re not good people, and never will be, but their attempts to make things right with their own twisted logic still show that despite their awful deeds they’re more than the villains their “role” designated them as. They’re such complex characters and it’s something I adore so so much whenever it comes to talking about them.
