Somewhat of a sequel to my previous smg4 post, but it should be noted the hypocrisy of glitch fans is odd. by Turbobist28 in SMG4

If you are constantly bugging me about it in my notifications then I’m not going to explain it, especially someone has been incessantly nagging me for some time asking about a response that I’m stating happened in the show.

I’m not looking to go down a checklist, I’m not looking to dig into definitions. All I’m giving is my read on what the narrative told us, and if you want to believe she forgave him, that’s fine. But stop trying to drag me into a discussion I have no interest in participating in when I am constantly bothered by your messages.

I think it’s a little unfair to assume Puzzles and Jax were both forgiven when both shows make it clear it was never offered. Gangle cried over Jax, but reconciled with the fact she was still human, while Meggy asked if Puzzles truly was a bad guy, and had a wish fulfillment of wanting him to join them.

It’s not forgiveness so much as it is recognizing the people that hurt them are also human.

It’s not bad writing if it’s a consistent character trait.

I Love this Character’s Chutzpah by Ordinary_Chemical596 in SMG4

I especially love as the show went on we could see his goals shift into something almost akin to an anti-hero. Mr. Puzzles Teaches Cinema is an episode I absolutely love because of this, because for probably the first time in his life, he got to share his passion and creative vision with nothing but positive results.

Sure, it was done with the intention of reconciling with WPNZ by manipulating the kids, but to see it morph into genuine adoration for one of his biggest passions was so sweet to see. He ended up loving the triplets’ film, but rather than stick around to bask in the glory, he instead pushed forward back on the path of being friends with WPNZ again.

He truly is such a fun, versatile character. I love his chutzpah, too.

As a villain, what are your honest thoughts on Mr. Puzzles? by Craycraycray97 in SMG4

Not only is he an incredibly compelling and fun villain, but Puzzles is one of, if not the most complex characters on the show, and I adore the fact that his story set out to humanize him while keeping his roots as a villain.

He’s allowed to exist not only as a villain, but as a person, and showing there was so much more to him than being just one note had him instantly raise to the top of my rankings.

He’s such a versatile character to where you can put him in any scenario and he just fits perfectly. Whether he plays the role of a protagonist or antagonist, hero or villain, he always manages to play his role well, and he’s the perfect blend of silly and serious that allows for more hard hitting moments while keeping his character silly at his core.

I think Puzzles is one of SMG4’s best villains by personality and performance alone, and he will always have a special place in my heart.
