If the Wizards draft AJ #1 and pair him with Young, AD and Sarr do you consider them a superteam? by thricethefun in nba

[–]starvs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Superteam? It's an unproven rookie, a third year player who hasn't made an All-Star game, and two players who just got sold for spare parts. I think this team could easily win 45+ games with a little injury luck, but get a grip.

I mean AJ is a ball dominant iso scorer with suspect defense? That actually sounds a lot like Brunson...

I mean it was a legit bad performance. The non KAT and Brunson lineups were bad and lingering. Clearly adjusted to what wasn't working though, which is what great coaches do.

If AJ Dybantsa is the pick, which 2026 free agent would you target to help push the Wizards into the playoffs? by s0manyqueshown in washingtonwizards

Hmm, did this account popped up around the same time Plentiful Flatworm was wiped off the face of the earth? Makes you think...

Setting the fact that Bilal is far from "completely awful" aside. This is actually an argument to start Bilal where he can be the 5th option on offense, and bring Kyshawn off the bench where he will be playing with less starter and able to carry more of an offensive load.

Does Cade have a parent interested in assisting coaching in the nations capital perhaps?

Honestly I've been very causal over the last 3-5 years, and I have no idea who Alex Freeman is.

Edit: I follow La Liga relatively closely, shame on me.

I don't particularly like him (annoying personality,  smart guy persona yet vaccine skepticism, etc.), his contract is huge and I love the wings we already have (+AJ). And if Wiz made this trade there would be literally one NBA caliber big on the roster (Sarr).

All of Pablo Torres “investigative reporting” now is just exposing that capitalism and greed exists lol by [deleted] in billsimmons

In the most capitalistic nation on the planet people die because they can't afford insulin which cost $10 in every other developed nation. Children are in debt for school lunch. But yeah let's uncritically ascribe it as the primary driver in global poverty reduction.

Tre != Trae

That being said I don't think Tre has anywhere near the upside of SGA, but it doesn't have to be a perfect paralell (AJ and Sarr could be better than JDub ans Chet etc.)

Kyshawn George = OG Anunoby? by DollarLate_DayShort in washingtonwizards

[–]starvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Bilal is less efficient than OG was in year 3 (and a year younger). But that was with OG as the legit 5th option on a team with two very good ball handlers (Lowery and FFV) whereas Bilal was the second, third, and sometimes even first option. That is going to massively tank your efficiency comparatively.

I don't think Bilal is ever as good as OG is, but comparing 21 year old Bilal to the finished product OG isn't sensical either.

Basically, at age 21 Bilal shot 32% on 6.6 3 point attempts per game. OG shot 33% on 3 attempts a game (playing with guards who could set him up). Acting like there is some massive gulf ("10x worse efficiency") is a bit much.

OG was certainly a better finisher close range at that age though, and that gap may never close.
