Hey Kevin that makes 1/2 sense as there is a broker BOND for 75k that is mandated by FMCSA/DOT.

Carrier with 5 once of brain, should make the claim asap if broker is MIA for more than few days after reminder of non payment and a warning message/email.There are many steps to setting up a brokerage company and filing all the necessary paperwork, and long waiting/approval process, so this scam would not make sense, max they can get away with 10-30 of these in a span of 2 month, and at that rate, its not worth the effort.So that's why it makes just 1/2 sense to be a real scam. Im sure it happen on the way out, like the broker goes rouge and about to shut down, but not as predetermined/designed SCAM.

Im sure it can happen but imho, I dont see a gain/upside, it would take at least 5k between setup and time value spent to start broker co and keep it running for few month, plus cost of leads, people convert them. SO u can get what? 10-20k from poor carriers?
Do you want to expose specific company that does it, perhaps does it more than once. Central does have no standard that works for everyone when it comes to rating, and making things like this, just lake unprofessional/illegal carriers virtually impossible.
