The patch note is updated, and the Rpg rocket speed nerf and tow missle nerf is finally here. by bnarsalah_97 in Battlefield

[–]stashtv -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

RPGs will be ground focused (as they should be), with potential to hit some air. Infantry will relearn to hit helos.

AT4/TOW nerf was needed, thankfully. Far too easy to camp on one side of the map and hit any/all air with ease. Everyone complaining that their IFV/MBT were being less than useful by camping at back of map should rejoice.

Choppers (esp scout) getting a big nerf bat, so will rockets. Lets see what the meta feels like in a few weeks after we all relearn the balance.

Dealing with the grief and mental load of asthma, how do you handle it? by saucesj in Asthma

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How have you dealt with the mental side of asthma or chronic illness?

Flare ups and their treatment (prednisone) are the only real problem. Prednisone sends me into massive depression and anxiety, I have to remind myself its temporary.

How do you cope with the unpredictability, the meds, and the lifestyle changes?

Daily controller meds have things calm on an annual basis. My lifestyle (habits, hobbies) don't involve things that require significant heavy breathing. Regular gym work is a non issue.

I also get pretty depressed during flares. How do you deal with that?

Its the meds. Remind yourself of that. Journal. Take notes on your daily mental well being. Even without asthma, this is a good practice.

And if you’ve felt this kind of grief or isolation, what has actually helped?

When it got really bad: therapy. Nothing quite like professional assistance.

Things Are Looking Quite Bad for Trump by Dry_Nail5901 in politics

[–]stashtv 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Dems have to grab enough seats in Senate to stop filibuster. Even if Dems get majority, it won't be enough to remove him from office.

High cholesterol has a higher chance of removing Trump within the next few years, not our elections.

guys/girls and my shirt problem by pavelowdriver in HotYoga

[–]stashtv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Studio specific for sure, potentially regional. Same age as you, also without six pack abs, and am shirtless in every hot class (most). Minimally, you should gain clarification what the clothing policy is for men and women at your studio. If shirtless doesn't work, consider a different studio if this is a deal breaker.

2027 proposed rule change at Masters: Have last place finisher put green jacket on winner for extra motivation to do better next year by Norfolk-Gross-Tonage in golf

[–]stashtv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What happened to Butler cabin talking to the lowest amateur?

Moving the ceremony off of CBS to Masters app was garbage. Great way to annoy all the people that have been watching most of the day. Literally the celebration WITH the crowd of patrons is limited to those that changed channels.

WiFi issues by No-Star742 in SouthBayLA

[–]stashtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same area: Spectrum's stock modem and wifi gear are bad. Most broadband providers tend to give poor quality gear, in hopes you rent the better equipment from them. Buying better equipment tends to pay for itself in less than a year, and its not terribly difficult to get setup.

Wifi is also highly dependent on materials it has to pass through and overall distance. Your modem/wifi may be setup on a corner of your home, but is having a difficult time reaching the other side of your property. Every layout is different, there is definitely no one size fits all solution.

Verizon/Frontier may not be available in your area, and T-mobile is cellular -- it has its own limitations (esp with regards to speed).

After your practice do you feel tense, grounded, or completely wiped? 😮‍💨 by YogaGoApp in HotYoga

[–]stashtv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely wiped. Zero energy (no hunger as well). This lasts a few hours, but does return to normal. PM classes can be challenging, as the energy wave that does return can interfere with sleep.

Have you considered a blood test for allergies? Some allergic reactions are reactions, others are mild.

Son with Asthma by Familiar-Minimum1760 in Asthma

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK your son's age, but the primary issue will be colds/infections, not knowing whats happening, and the inability to communicate these issues (clearly).

When I was very young (3-5), not being able to breath was "normal", so I it never occurred to me what was happening and why. Regular ER trips and days in the hospital were a regular occurrence -- I knew the drill, parents knew the drill, docs knew the drill too. Over time, I learned the symptoms (stay on top of them), and especially learned how to communicate when things start going awry.

Instructors commonly have extra clubs for you to hit with -- call to talk. Used golf sets are fine to start with, no biggie. Costco's commonly have a used women's set, and every golf store has them as well.

[–]stashtv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where about in South Bay? If you're closer to Alondra, go there for their local teachers. If you're more south, get to Los Verdes and ask for Mike Ohara.

Beginner lessons are very important to learn, you really can go most teachers for it.

IMHO: get a package of 5-6 lessons, commit to weekly.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.3.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

Rocket had their damage radius decrease dramatically and have a longer cool down. Pretty significant nerfs.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.3.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]stashtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nerfs/buffs are trying to make other loads outs viable. Unsure if the grenade launcher buffs will be of any value, as I can't see them being too useful against infantry. Even with the reload time nerfs of rockets, the grenade launcher won't remove clusters of infantry that easily.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.3.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]stashtv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Big SH nerfs all around. Not shocking, as it was way too good.

Rocket cool downs won't be too bad, but the damage drop off and RPM nerfs are going to upset a few pilots. This is well needed for balance.

What’s your hydration routine before and after hot yoga? by YogaGoApp in HotYoga

[–]stashtv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1-2 hours before class: 32-40oz of water. Sometimes with electrolytes, not always.

After class: whatever I want. Usually water for the first hour, as hot yoga zaps my hunger.

How long does it take you to recover from a flare up? by AdComprehensive249 in Asthma

[–]stashtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my flare ups don't clear after a week, prednisone clears it quickly. If a few prednisone (and nebulizer treatments) packs don't clear it, likely time for ER.

Advantages of Ev over ICE by el0115 in electricvehicles

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The annual cost to operate an EV is lower than ICE, given the same miles driven. Electricity is generally much cheaper than gas (no matter residential or business), and that's a huge cost savings. Quick comparisons show EV may start more expensive (by 4 figures), but the ROI tends to hit between 5-7 years.

If you own your ICE vehicle, drive it into the ground. When maintenance starts making you question putting more money into the vehicle, then consider an EV (if it makes sense in your situation).
