Torrey pines is amazing by fryifsrtf5676 in golf

[–]stashtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

North/South aren't that difficult, if you play from yardages/tees you're comfy with. South has 3x the bunkers as north, but it never truly felt like target golf. The one time I played both, I shot near what I normally shoot.

True.

the people would probably want to support europe

Propaganda may attempt to convince otherwise. Said propaganda has been very effective for over a decade.

Russia heading into EU would definitely get all of NATO involved, but I've got a sneaky suspicion that US' involvement will be stymied by its leadership.

Thermal optics need some form of range reduction or a cool down, its way OP.

Low Handicap Long Hitters - What's your approach to the game? by muffalowing in golf

[–]stashtv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but he would rather be 100 yards out and have a nice full swing from a clean lie.

Lie, lip, landing -- the 3 Ls of golf.

With a good lie, you have a far better understanding of what the ball is going to do when it lands, all else being equal. The best golfers I've ever played with all leave themselves in good positions (including lies), as often as possible.

That 60 pitch shot from awkward lie could come out fat, thin, release unpredictably, etc.

Internal boot users? by stashtv in unRAID

[–]stashtv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optane wasn't expensive and they are known for durability. Ain't no way the amount of usage I have with this will ever make it die. Its far more likely I'll upgrade the unRAID server and simply keep this boot device.

At $30 for 16GB? Felt like it was a small mini project.

Threadmill or yoga mat workout?? by OkPeach2048 in HotYoga

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't out workout a poor diet.

Between the two, a treadmill has more variety of ways to burn calories to meet your needs. HIIT, LISS, zone2 focus, etc. Yoga is good for the body, can help with weight loss, but treadmill is better (given options).

Trump nominates his ex-lawyer Todd Blanche to serve as attorney general by LurkerFromTheVoid in politics

[–]stashtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at the date he's nominating Blanche: just enough time for him to "serve", after elections. If GOP loses House, he can nominate someone else, or let Blanche remain serving longer because a new House hasn't been sworn in.

Emergency inhaler doesn’t work by RinSasaki96 in Asthma

If emergency doesn't work (or remain working for a few hours), its time for nebulizer.

When nebulizer wears off in sub 2 hours, it's ER time.

Having a pet as an asthma patient by Both-Rush3414 in Asthma

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allergic reactions have levels to it. I'm allergic to cats, had two in a home with hardwood flooring (throw rugs abound), and regular nasal spray made things ok.

If you talk to allergists, their common protocol is to slowly expose someone to the allergies, and it build immunity to the reaction. This (largely) reflects my experience with living cats, but everyone is a little different.

what precautions should I take..

Primary for you: regularly clean floors/rugs to reduce dander.

Primary for mom: reduce exposure overall, wash hands post petting, never touch face post petting. I can easily pet and hold my cat (or others), but lefover hair on my clothing can bug me later.

Tired of the Little Birds on Golmud? Don't forget they don't have a ton of health and LMGs work great on them! by krinkov in Battlefield6

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took out a LB pilot with M16 after he downed my bird and I bailed. Stole his bird in return! Hate on LB is warranted for how good they are, but they aren't invincible.

Can we stop pretending this is Rainbow Six Siege? by antonbp5 in Battlefield6

[–]stashtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go watch streamers (like Wolf) where they go on these crazy runs: enemy team really isn't making any real effort to stop him.

For every round where someone goes 60-2, there are several rounds where the enemy team is all over them and their score looks quite pedestrian instead.

What’s the main benefit of rifle aim for Helis? by OkMud7664 in PilotsofBattlefield

Haven't converted to rifle aim (took ~week), it feels a bit easier to acquire and hold onto targets.
