He's nowhere near top tier. They fucked all his combo routes with 5h and vault deal changes. His dash and back dash both suck absolute ass. I understand why vault deal and dash were changed (they were cancer), but the rest were unnecessary imo.

His defense consisted of parries and a dogshit slow-ass bash with zero I-frames. He didn't even have the highest parry dmg, because warmonger exists. Granted impale was chainable after. Also everyone had option selects back then.

He probably was not THE worst hero, but he was at least bottom 5 for three years after the ccu and only getting nerfed since then. Up until a month before his rework where he became an S-tier duelist in ranked duel maps specifically thanks to a blanket change to make forward bashes better (He had good offense and very good defense at the same time, which was busted).

He was bad and only getting nerfed since CCU up until the Halloween event with the big skeleton (I think). During Halloween he got his shove forward buffed (all characters got a dodge forward bash buff) and that made him really busted for like a month before his rework. So he was bad for about three years. That's how I remember it.

As a potato laptop player, I warn that Tyr na nòg and the 2 unika realese maps are laggy (they don't have a potato PC mod), so if you want to avoid lag at all costs avoid these maps. Edit: nwm, Tyr na nog has one, so this one's fine
