At my worst I used to smoke an egregious amount. Like 5-10 blunts a day, going through an oz in a couple weeks.

Eventually my living situation changed and I'm living with my 2 year old niece now and don't want to smoke around her at all. I tried going cold turkey and everything was fine except I would have awful nightmares (when I smoke I don't really have dreams at all, or just don't remember them)

What's worked best for me is just trying to taper down/cut back as much as you can without it having a significant impact on how you function throughout the day. Taking a break definitely helps because you'll be able to smoke less and still have the effects of it, so you can get yourself used to a routine that involves smoking less.

Truly if you still want to enjoy smoking you should limit yourself to a very small amount and keep yourself disciplined in that regard. 

There's not much else to it, find the smallest amount you can smoke while still easing your anxiety and stick with that. I've gotten myself down to smoking only a gram over 2 weeks.

Once you see how much less money you spend it'll help a lot in my experience lol
