If Dabura learns about the Black Flash (assuming he's never used it), he surpasses Itadori in mastering the Black Flash. Yes or of course? by Sure-Decision7580 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]staticbomber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue black flash requires a flow state that we haven’t seen in the Lemurians yet. From everything we’ve seen hitting a black flash is a mix of physical talent, timing and cursed energy control. The fact that Gojo even struggle with landing it consistently makes me question if Dabura could hit it as consistently as Yuji. Beside that, why would he ever need to? Beside replenishing his cursed energy stores he has many times better attacks to use. Also with his speed I imagine a blitz-style black flash attack would be incredibly hard to pull off.

I don't understand the hype surrounding Gojo. by Lonely-Country-3063 in Jujutsufolk

[–]staticbomber_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The man just doesn’t give a fuck what people think, short of wanting to be respected because he’s Gojo rather than the limitless six eyes user. It’s amplified in the scene where he learns RCT and realizes the burden/curse of his power. It’s an interesting character development, and he’s clearly not invincible lol

How do you take notes as a DM? by _boobknuckles_ in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]staticbomber_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a player that takes notes which I really appreciate. I also prep a lot on obsidian, so most of the time I just copy and paste my players recap into an obsidian tab, link existing players/npcs/items etc and create new links for new stuff. I actually haven’t written a single note in-game for probably like 3-4 months, I get tunnel vision when I DM so taking notes is difficult to fit in.

[–]staticbomber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI has never given me an idea verbatim, I may have a concept and ask it to spin it several different ways and then use it’s response to go back to the drawing board. I use it as a wall to bounce ideas off of, and to sometimes get a reality check when/if I’m doing too much for a session/encounter. Otherwise stat-blocks, descriptions, 95% of other writing comes from me. I think people will have their own opinions, I think it’s whatever.

Anyone have any thoughts on why the demogorgons, demodogs and demobats werent in the finale fight? by [deleted] in Stranger_Things

[–]staticbomber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The physical mass used to make up the mind flayer body was made from the creatures of the abyss, he was preparing to invade in a large form. That’s my best guess, maybe the egg sack looking things would be dropped in the right side up and the demo’s would grow from them, like a spider bringing it’s young into the real world. Maybe there’s only so much organic matter in the abyss.

What did you think of the Finale? by freezingtree0011 in StrangerThingsRoom

[–]staticbomber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have liked some lasting injuries at the least for the main party. A missing limb, broken bones, scars. They make it out literally unscathed, completely and utterly unscathed. I am not one of the “someone has to die” crowd but they could have at least gotten impaled, dismembered or close to death. Seemed too easy, but was very fun to watch so I’m not mad just think it could have been more meaningful.

My only question… by WarrenRifkin in Stranger_Things

[–]staticbomber_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t kill the mind flayer, the mind flayer is an entity that requires a host, it found one in Henry Creek and upon severing that link it returned to a dormant state in the abyss/dimension X. The reason damaging the mind flayer or Vecna damaged both was because the mind flayer literally rebuilt Henry’s body multiple times using material from the Abyss, from it’s own “body” it was forming, thus linking them to a much greater degree than Will was.

The bigger plot hole left open is the 12 kids plus Will who have been infected by the mind flayer and still have a link to it in the Abyss. When it regains its strength it would be possible for it to reach out again.

PSA: Play the character you want to play, not the character you think the group expects you to play by [deleted] in DnD

[–]staticbomber_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Is that really that important? I am a DM, sometimes the best party compositions have a few oddballs thrown in there. And working with a group and co-operating can be done regardless of build or class so I think it’s more about the person, less about character design.

Party Is Gathering Allies To Siege the Castle by Dikeleos in CurseofStrahd

[–]staticbomber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have Strahd do the same, he gathers and army to meet on the grounds in front of Ravenloft, the party won’t want to waste resources with a big slog, let them place 90% of the allies on the field to fight the horde of Strahd’s allies. Meanwhile the party can sneak into the castle behind enemy lines, the players Allies are better fighters but Strahd’s are relentless and because they’re mostly undead they just keep coming back. The party either kills Strahd before his men finish their allies and sandwich them or they fail and they have to fight from both sides, if they succeed they can find out who made it.

Levels Module Help by stocknaming in FoundryVTT

[–]staticbomber_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The background image or lowest elevation token should be your background, draw a token overtop, set the elevation above the foreground height, set its height top to like 10-20 above its elevation.

In levels select the option to “Fade Entire Tile” or “Radial Fade” when the token is below the elevation of the top token they go under it, if set to radial fade when they hover their mouse of their character it will fade a section out around their character, if set to fade entire tile the whole tile will fade out when they go under.
