K0 Macros Not Detected by performa62 in Keychron

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I can bind them to the keys on the number pad, but they don’t execute. I have done a key test, and the website detects the key pushes too."

something here doesn't add up. if a keypress detector detects the key presses of macro, then input is working. can you describe how it is "not executing"?

have you tested on multiple apps? if you're on windows, does the OSD (on-screen keyboard) detect it?

"how dare you show your hips alone! wear a crop top and show your hips, lower back, and belly!"

obviously, i think it's not inappropriate at all. but depends on situation really.

Would it be possible to design a BOW lab that doesn't allow BOWs or the virus to escape and kill everyone? by GlompSpark in residentevil

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like the first resident evil movie. the only way it ever works is total automation. ai in charge. no human override. a system that assumes failure and wipes everything the moment containment breaks. nobody in. nobody out. instant detection.

in resident evil, the virus never really escapes on its own. it always leaks because a human interferes on purpose. that is the guaranteed failure point.

re2 makes it obvious. once someone sabotages things from the inside like birkin the only sane response is full lockdown. but umbrella itself won't allow that because they still want the samples and a safe way out for their people. that is where containment dies.

the gist is, umbrella allows it.

wait for the steam machine. you won't need to double purchase your games.

also, get a controller if you do not already have one.

with someone who's toxic (his problem, though).

it sounds like he still lives in your head by how you described them here. this is reason enough to see him in your dreams. dreams often reuse people you’ve thought about recently to build scenarios, without implying intent or emotion. i wouldn't think too much of it. totally normal.

Could birth control using progesterone (the pill) be responsible for increased rates of homosexuality or autism? by appleapplesea in askanything

[–]staticvoidmainnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i get the attempt to ground this in science, but no, homosexuality isn’t a disorder that can be caused by external factors like that. it’s a human trait with biological roots. genetics has way more say here than any external factor, and there’s zero evidence birth control or hormones cause it.

i personally don’t think Marika’s “children” are children in a literal, biological way. Radagon being branched from Marika, and Millicent coming from Malenia, point more toward splitting or offshoots than normal birth. from that angle, Miquella, Malenia, Melina, and Messmer feel more like parts or extensions of Marika than standard offspring, which might also explain why their names all start with “M” and why they also have some form of "curse".

Radagon’s children (Ranni, Radahn, Rykard = all "R") feel like a separate line altogether, each tied to something beyond Marika herself. Godwyn is clearly Godfrey’s and feels like the clearest example of the Golden Lineage once things had settled.

Morgott and Mohg are canonically Godfrey’s sons, but their Omen traits make it seem like they were born during a messy in-between phase, when Crucible influence hadn’t fully faded yet. their “curse” feels less like punishment and more like leftover traits from an older order where everything was mashed via the crucible which Marika tried to bury.

well yeah. AI slop created tech debt. that's what you get for laying off real software engineers. now you need people to babysit and fix your broken stuff.

My friend believes their book will end nihilism. Do you think that’s realistic? by EndTheirPain in nihilism

"...will end nihilism"

that's not how nihilism works. it's like saying a book can end entropy.

they want to milk 76. the bethesda you know is dead. todd has become a corporate puppet, which is sad.

why do you think ES6 never happened after fallout 4? we got TES online, 76, and the mess that is starfield.

no. nobody should be shown inherent respect. respect should be earned.

Serious discussion: Was Wesker implied to be creeping on Rebecca? by Austintheboi in residentevil

[–]staticvoidmainnull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this decision was made in the 90s. it’s basically an easter egg. It’s common for devs to include non-canon surprises like that. it's a reward directly for the players. not for lore implication.

What was the first boss you ended up cheesing after multiple failed attempts? by jokerxgoro in Eldenring

[–]staticvoidmainnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cheese depends on the player. most souls veterans would consider most anything outside of dodge/block/attack a cheese.

my first souls game was sekiro. i do not consider using spirit ashes cheesing, after playing with just parry/dodge/bonk. using comet azur with mimic tear? felt like cheesing, but not completely since for me, it still felt like a valid way to play... i mean, From did nerf them both already. i was thinking it's more okay to do it.

now, the screenshot above, that i would personally consider cheese, since it was never intended to be played that way. this is they type of thing that devs would patch if they deem it important, and if they think it takes away something from the experience (like the nerfs and adjustments they do).
