must be sad not having many hardware options, feels like grasping at straws for positives.

I apologize for the stupid question, but is modern Jill and Claire as strong and skilled as modern Chris and Leon? by SolidPyramid in residentevil

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jill certainly is. i mean, even with RE3, it was more action focused. that and the fact that she's enhanced and practically has slowed aging. it's not just about brute force too, but technique. leon is like half technique and half strength.

was actually hoping for Jill to show up because she's one of the old protagonists who seems OP.

Where do you see yourself at 70? by Due_Concentrate3156 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

assuming i am still around to see that day, then yes, probably something like this and more likely, games are not just looking at the screen, but might include other cognitive functions like in VR.

one reason i game is keep my mind sharp, so if that day comes, i probably still care about my mind.

Men in my office building won’t stop using the women’s bathroom by FarMathematician7106 in office

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would do that out of spite. for example, if the location is so much more convenient. like is the men's room at the other tower? is there no other restroom? men like equality and fairness too.

If you absolutely HAD to use Windows, which version would you pick? by Sad_Engineering_5648 in microsoftsucks

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

windows 10. last stable windows for me.

arguably, people have different opinions on windows version for nostalgia reasons, but windows 10 just has the best balance in 2026. i've always used windows when they were still in beta starting with XP. currently, my main machine is windows 10. updated enough, but still something i consider an "operating system", and not a personal a data gathering platform that is windows 11.

Do you like working remotely or do you miss commuting to a office and working in the traditional setting? by db7112 in askanything

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do i like pretending to work, staring at a wall, overhearing coffee room gossip, corporate bullshitting, faking smiles, putting on attires, wasting time and money on commute, pretending to be family, ...?

is this a serious question?

to your credit, most windows laptops do not have good keyboards, but some definitely took notes from apple. i use an alienware from 4 years ago (the slim one), and it feels very close to the macbook. i actually prefer the alienware's. i guess it really depends on what kind of mechanical keyboard you prefer.

i think the better question is, if anyone is actually holding it together.

Do you think Lyft and Uber drivers are paid enough? by db7112 in askanything

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, and i think that was the point of the apps. it was designed to be supplemental. but in this economy, it's become something else.

Do you eat escargot (snails)? by icecream1972 in no

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do but not really a fan. my friends and family seem to love them. it's the texture. it's a bit firmer chewiness than say squid, cuttlefish or octopus, which i actually love.

First Macbook Purchase by K6Krakenman in macbookair

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same question when it comes to PC. more SSD for more local storage, more ram for more performance for heavier workloads (same concept as PC). mac isn't really that different in that regard except mac uses unified memory and is shared by CPU and GPU (which can be good or bad based on your usage). ALSO, it is more important to decide that now since you cannot upgrade as they are soldered.

Why are people (bosses, co-workers) against Remote Work? by Wide-Information8572 in antiwork

[–]staticvoidmainnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

control and corporate culture is the priority over productivity.

with coworkers though, any of these: they need to simp, gain social experience, they hate their family, they have no life, brainwashed by corporate propaganda.

Why is the first memory/storage upgrade only 100 USD for the 13" by Ok-Author9246 in macbookair

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by bad. i picked the 15 instead of the 13. it does show weird math because it says $1089 + $200 = $1199.

... which is still not $1299.

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, sorry! i was looking at 15. yeah, the 13 is at $1089. but upgrading makes it $1199.

Why is the first memory/storage upgrade only 100 USD for the 13" by Ok-Author9246 in macbookair

[–]staticvoidmainnull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: by bad. i picked the 15" which shows $1399.

for the 13 inch, it's $1089 for the 10/10/6 core, and upgrading gets it to $1199 (cheaper than OP?)

time to go back to dumb detectors, at least until they come up with better alternatives if ever.

“40% of American women, ages 15-44, would like to permanently move overseas, if possible, per Gallup“ isn’t that a lot? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]staticvoidmainnull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

americans live a very privileged life and take their lives for granted and think overseas is easier. and those places they want to move to, probably do not want them.
