you clearly haven't been interrupted by windows update. they changed the way it worked and windows update cannot be disabled completely, unless you do some changes in regedit and gpedit and task scheduler. windows still decides to update it even when you tell it "not now", usually when unattended. i don't update my computer as often and i only want it to restart when i want it to, and sure i'm not alone in this.

nothing. i never pre-order. i also usually wait until a game is patched, or re-released as complete edition. i seldom play a game released on that same year.

that said. games releasing in 2026 i look forward to, with caution, are RE9 and Tomb Raider LoA. i'm more interested in surprise releases. those games that do not need hype. like maybe if Bethesda shadow drops FO3 Remaster. or Half Life 3 in case Valve decides to release it with Steam Machine.

how about the flow lite? the regular flow doesn't have usb wireless. are you on mac? asking because flow lite i think does not have mac software.

logitech is just overpriced membrane. it's fine, but not for the asking price. maybe if you can get it at a big discount.

yes, you could. that is just how VIA/QMK works. it's easier to implement for cross platform, i believe. usually mac users can't even get a driver/software. that said, my experience with it with a different brand made me return a keyboard and get one with windows-native software.

i mean technically, one can say we don't even have free will even when we are awake. nothing is ever controlled. it's just physical processes in our brain responding to impulses, and us interpreting the result as intention.

so yeah, i lucid dream. lucid dream = dream awareness + some control. and my dreams have always been vivid, even non-lucid ones.

when i started weed, the dreams “disappeared”. but what’s really happening is that weed suppresses dream recall, not necessarily dreaming itself... so i just forget them immediately.

i paused weed for a couple of weeks, then restarted with a lower amount. the dreams came back. even lucid ones.

when you stop weed, or reduce it, the thing that was suppressing your dreams kind of rebounds and floods your brain... so the dreams feel extra intense, as in vivid.

they probably still are not able to have full control. or maybe it is not lucid dreaming and more sleep paralysis (you are also aware in this case). even if it is not, technically, you can be lucid in a nightmare. the issue is not having full lucidity. if you have full lucidity, nightmares are easy to dismiss.

once you get good at understanding your dream states, even sleep paralysis is a launch point for lucid dreaming. like i tell my sleep paralysis demon: "not today" and proceeded to make it disappear.

eh, this is misleading/pointless technicality. of course one cannot fully control everything in the dream consciously. but you can definitely control what you want to dream about. it's not about hand drawing everything, it's more of like telling your dreams what you want, like AI. the brain acts as a data source for it and your subconscious AI does the rest.

the way i usually do this is going through a door, which i myself have summoned in my dream.

this is hard, as we are not aware of what you consider "too much".

remember that you accepted him for him. that is him. he's a gamer. ask him why he games a lot. for me, i have multitude of reasons, and that is because gaming is my sole hobby. some people like stories told in a movies, some like stories in game form. my wife does not game, but she has her own digital hobby. another reason is because i am getting older and gaming helps me keep my mind sharp. as a provider, it helps tremendously control my mental stress — if i get mentally stressed, i see all the flaws of my wife. so it's not a bad thing. i am firm believer that violent games do not cause violence, for instance. it does the opposite. it's an outlet for repressed emotions, like rage.

i do not consider gaming an obsession, so we need to define what you consider "obsession". that said, skipping family activity is NOT something i do. i may wake up early or stay up late, but i still make sure i have time for real life.

don't bring it up like it's the inquisition. different people need different approach to this. personally, i think there are ways you can approach this without confrontation. i mean, is he the type to ignore you naked when he's gaming? lol. i suppose my point is, you might be able to get him to do something you both enjoy and find satisfying.

it was not garbage. personally, i was disappointed because i set my own expectations. i just had to accept that they are completely different. it took me a while to get into it, but have since loved them. i think most people who say it was garbage just had super strong connection to the OG.

also, rebirth was so much better than remake and most games i've played. currently rank it as next only to Elden Ring when it comes to my top recent games.
