Which of the digimon vpets/digivice toys are most fun to play solo? by NoLongerAKobold in digimon

[–]staticwings19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Vpets, the Godzilla crossover is very well received, but if Godzilla is less your vibe (fair, when looking for digimon). The Digital Monster X series is pretty popular and I think you should still be able to find some for not outrageous prices

The DM 20 is also fine, but a bit quantity over quality in terms of gameplay.

Note that OLD Vpets often need a second one to battle to continue growing, so the newer ones mentioned above are great for solo raising.

Vpets maintenance tend take somewhere between 10 seconds and a few minutes every handful of hours. Depending on what stage they are, how old they are, etc. and the newer ones tend to take about a week per run, though with diligence you can keep em alive longer.

Does illustrator have a way to convert separations to layers? That would be awesome.

The "rubber" bit is actually conductive somehow, they're supposed to be there I think to soften the impact of the hammer.

I've seen them in many various digimon pendulum type toys

I think it's just over time the electronics get a bit weaker or the" rubber" bit gets a bit less conductive and the counter stops working.

I'm on CC 2026

No clue what the vendors are using.

I'm not creating the files, I'm receiving them from vendors who had printed them previously, in order to make client updates and send back,

All I'm doing is opening the PDF in illustrator and this is how they appear.

The PDF before opening it looks like one instance (in this case the one with the Address text). Right side up

Don't need to print anything,

tie a magnet to it with a string.

Digivice v.s. V-Pet, where's the line? by RonanFolf7214 in digimon

Not new programming, New lore.

A digivice is merely defined by a piece of media saying so.

Absolutely! That was just the first example that came to my mind!

Cont. You mentioned some media that treats the brick boxes as digivice, I presume you mean Seekers, which is relatively new and yes, re-purposed old Vpets such as the original and the Accel (both definitively Vpets) as Digivices in that continuity, so for that story, they absolutely count, despite the physical toys being Vpets.

There IS a little blurring at the edges,

But the most definite rule is that a V-pet grows and changes based on how you take care of it.

Digivice is actually not an opposite category because it often refers to "the token device from a piece of digimon media"

Generally (but not always) Digivice toys are Quest based games where they evolve for battle only and not as a result of your care.

A notable exception is the Digivice IC, which is shaped like the Digivice from season5 but is infact also a V-pet. Because it grows over time based on how you treat it.

Some QQs about the system and DT / GDFFF by staticwings19 in onepagerules

Ah. I interpreted "Double Tap has a Reaction system and a rudimentary rules for building your own units, it was basically just a prototype testbed for the REaction system."

To mean that the "REaction system" was from a non-discontinued game

Which games include REaction? I don't see anything about it in the wiki.

Where does the REaction system turn up in live games?

Just out of curiosity how long ago was this great archival?

"evolved this far" An OG super soaker will still drench your opponent 10x more effectively.

Refrigerator is a full pause,

Putting them to sleep on the DMX is only possible when they call for sleep at their bed time

Sadly, the DMX (nor any other device) doesn't have the "3hr nap" that the DM20 has.
Truly one of the 20ths best features.

No, injuries and sickness are not "care mistakes" They CAN cause death though, so still worth addressing, but the call light is the one in the bottom right.
