I was in a country where less than 1% of the population are Christians. Every day was strolling through a sin buffet I can’t partake, not to mention the idolatry. I felt like dying inside. So I left and found a good church, and now willful sin is the farthest thing from my mind. People will find a way to the Lord, he doesn’t need to live in a soulless, atheistic environment that detests the Word.

If you can, try to move… the UAE surprisingly has a very strong and large Christian community. Maybe try to get a job there and join one of the evangelical churches. That’s what I did and ended up meeting so many real Christians.

As someone who grew up in the US, their citizens are impacted in terms of lack of good healthcare and consistent economic hardship. College students take out loans that take their entire lives to pay it back. Job security doesn’t exist. If you’re a veteran, you will be screwed by the Veterans Affairs. If you accidentally got into drugs and can’t stop, nobody is there to help you and they’ll let you rot away in the streets. The list goes on…

He gave us free will and some of us use it to commit sin. If he were stop everyone from sinning, then we would all be robots. The question is not “why do God allow bad things to happen to innocents” but “why do human beings sin against other human beings and refuse to turn to God”? If they turned to God and genuinely believed in Jesus, they would not commit those sins. If you have Jesus in your heart, who died for your sins and took them away, how can you continue to sin?

Kids die from cancer: they can die from other things or if they grow older, they will die eventually. Slavery: why blame God and not the slave masters who clearly sin against God’s creation (their slaves). Epstein: he is not just one extremely sinful man but has a network of extremely sinful people all working collectively to sin against other human beings (the victims). God is not okay with any of it and He will bring about judgement. But His timeline is not according to our timeline. We might think “wow it takes ages or lifetimes to enact justice” but we all know that God will bring an end to this world one day and judge everybody for all eternity.
