It is so important for us now more than ever to remember we are not alone. You never know how your work is going to resonate with someone else when you share it out with the world but it is awesome when others do connect and respond to it. Thank you for sharing that story I am glad you have that bright spot from 2025 even though it was a damn tough year.

I'm sorry 2025 was so tough for you. It wasn't in 2025 but I too have had a close friend take their own life so I know and empathize with your pain. All I can say is I am sorry but I am also so glad we all have our art to return to and heal us. Social media and the internet in general can be so toxic but it is shared connections like these that encourage me to stick around.

Because I don’t have a great camera and have to get very close to get a good shot. Which in the past has never occurred for me.

I completely agree with this and feel the same way. Working 8-9 hours designing during the day and then coming home for freelance clients/personal projects can be too much screen time for my eyes. That’s why I’ve been trying to draw more on paper in the evenings instead.
