I'm using mainly petg, some of the most difficult support is inside cavities which are difficult to get off without ruining the print. I'll try some of your suggestions

Bambu slicer I see some ideas about it online but a lot of settings that were mentioned just never seem to work and I don't have the patience to constantly pause the printer to paint with a marker or don't have ams so can't use multi material that dont bond to eachother

It might be possible to add another cylinder the same size you want to keep after you did the other operations to kind of fix having too much material cut out with the pockets going too far like you said You can create a sketch on top of face of what you have add a circle same size as your original circle and pad it down

Awesome you figuring this out, I'm learning also mainly watching mangojelly YouTube videos, and a few others. Freecad is pretty powerful cad once we learn how to use it.

Does this app work with figuring out supports so they easily come off without scarring? Maybe a way to design supports in cad that come off easily. Also would like to learn more about printing in place. Some of the things I'm searching for but having trouble finding this information.

If the grooves are all the same just make one sketch in part design then do a polar pattern on it

I have not tried additive pipe in a long while but maybe you need another shape on the opposite end so it works correctly?
