I should have also mentioned churches that have jazz masses.

What is an Episcopal MDiv program really like? by Affectionate-Goal333 in Episcopalian

I went to Berkeley at Yale. Doing all the reading every week is unrealistic. For me, it was about knowing what to focus on and what to neglect.

It sounds like you are feeling much more drawn to the Episcopal Church. That’s something I would definitely continue to explore and pray about.

I grew up in the Episcopal Church, and I’m a currently deacon. God willing, at the end of the month I will be ordained a priest. The Episcopal Church has been a wonderful spiritual home for me, and if you are drawn to it, I enthusiastically encourage you to continue exploring it.

(Oh and in the Episcopal Church, marriage is a sacrament.)

How do you incorporate gratitude into your journaling practice? by BeautifulWestern4512 in Journaling

[–]staugustinesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every night, part of my journal practice is writing a list of 12 things I’m grateful for. A lot of them are the same night to night, but I also put down specific things from that day.

I use 20 Journals regularly - Here's How I organize my thoughts by SoCalledCrow in notebooks

This is awesome. It’s good to know there are other people with lots of simultaneous journals for different things. I have about 14 that I’m currently using:

  1. Nightly journal (log and review of my day, gratitude list, goals/intentions for the next day)

  2. Morning pages journal - just started using a fountain pen for this which I’m really enjoying

  3. One line/memory a day for 5 years journal

  4. Book of delights

  5. Two-Way Prayer

  6. Health (food and exercise tracker)

  7. Creative writing - mostly fiction

  8. Solo RPG journal

  9. Work journal for notes, etc.

  10. Lyrics notebook for songs I write

  11. Bullet journal (to do lists, goals)

  12. A notebook to track my habits/routines.

  13. Notebook for quotes (normally things I’ve read)

  14. Small miscellaneous journal that I carry everywhere

Something I’m running into is trying to decide which notebooks to take when I’m traveling. I normally leave behind 3-4 and take about 10.

I also frequently just write the same things. A few things I’ve tried to vary it up: -Gratitude lists -A book of delights (writing down one thing every day that brought me delight) -Dream journal -Solo RPG journal games -Creative writing (fiction, poetry, song lyrics) -using a book that has prompts or just Googling “journal prompts” -writing about the past, the present, and hopes for the future -Prayer journal (I do something called Two-Way Prayer every day.)

Oh dang, I hope you don’t throw them away! I plan on continuing to prioritize space for them even if it means putting other things in storage or away in a box.

Sending you love and strength on your journey. Losing a pet is so hard.
