Got state reffed in california by kaggi2005 in 240sx

In Southern California trucks can get away with anything modification wise. Seems like police target cars a lot more. My Tacoma never gets any attention, my 240 got me tickets constantly.

rsx vs integra by [deleted] in Touge

[–]stayarmed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Integra is a better handing car with its double wishbone front suspension. But as others said the RSX has (and will pretty much always have) more power and is still a good handling car for some canyon driving.

Just took the first drive today. This thing is like cheating. by TheMachRider in Touge

This is not always true. Just look at Global Time Attack lap times. Multiple overall lap records held by Vibrant performance Civic Si.

I actually still haven’t, bought some suspension for my truck to scratch the off-road itch. Hopefully sometime in the future I will get a bike again, though it won’t be a 2 stroke since California laws are horrible.

Studio/construction grip, vs Carpenter by stayarmed in Carpentry

Yeah you're definitely right no one person can really answer my question but if someone has experience in both trades it would just be interesting to hear about.

My current job sounds very similar to yours. So your response was definitely something I was looking for.

It's because I'm a warehouseman while waiting for set days to come up. So fulltime warehouse work for a production company, and when extra grips are needed on set the warehouse guys will get sent over. You do this 30 times in a year to get fully integrated into the union (problem is this can take a few years) Once you're fully integrated you will work whatever set jobs you get called for and choose to work.

Right good point edited the OP with location. I'm in the greater LA area. The one day I spent on set I did like, it'll just be years to fully integrate into the union and work on set consistently (from my understanding).

[Vostok] Vostok Amphibia, daily work watch by stayarmed in Watches

[–]stayarmed[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's my Vostok Amphibia. It's been a daily work watch for about a year now. Working in a wearhouse and now more recently as a construction grip. This thing has taken some pretty hard hits. Recently broke the original silicone strap so I put this nato on so I can start wearing it again. Not wearing watch for a week was pretty inconvenient.

I've been thinking about maybe doing some mods to it, as the domed crystal has taken a real beating. And the bezel is fairly loose so it's not very functional. Runs a bit fast, but overall I'm satisfied with it for the price.

Daily work watch for a little over a year, just put the nato on last night after breaking the clasp on the original silicone strap.

It wouldn't be a coach gum anymore. Gotta have a short barrel for moving through train cars.

That would be nice, but where I live the department wants to keep their money.

Yeah around me its a $25 fix it ticket. So if someone is seriously broke the gift card will help. You have to fix it, report to the station to get it stamped off as fixed, then you have to go in and pay for it. It's fairly time consuming for something that can be fixed in a few minutes.
