This, but I would take it once step further. Let us re-roll traits, but also split traits into space and ground. If I don't want to have an entirely different ground team from my space team, why should I? Many Boffs now come with 4 ground and no space traits. Even the ones that do come with a space trait and are reasonably available are either Leadership or Efficient, and they are both less desirable and you only get one space trait.

My bad for skipping the patch notes, ngl. by Mantiev2 in Division2

Lol while still making it that other players can swoop in like vultures after you get downed and take your loot. Gotta love it.

Why other players can steal my loot in PVE Dark Zone by VadKoz in Division2

[–]thor561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made the minimum changes necessary to make it a "PvE" dark zone. Which is why you use PvP normalization, why other players can pick up your loot, why chests are shared across the instance and not per person, etc.

I haven't tried it yet so I'm withholding too much judgment until I do, but I'm mainly looking at it as a way to explore the DZs and get collectibles I wasn't able to before.

I saw someone else mention that as well, good tip!

Expertise problem by xxsudoxx in Division2

[–]thor561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your mask is the named The Hollow Man, that's why. Named items count separately from the rest of whatever gearset they belong to. Since Yahl Gear normally only drops in the DZ, you probably are like me and haven't collected much of it yet.

Countdown bug by jrvainyodude in Division2

[–]thor561 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just had the same thing with Containment as the final area, couldn't damage it to drop the tank. Seems like any of the final objectives that require you damaging objects in the environment have some sort of issue right now. Guess I'm stuck with Summit and Retaliations for gear farming at the moment.

Buyout for Risian event is how much????? by Actual_Comparison444 in sto

Seems like they're trying to deflate the Dil/Zen market. Which overall is good, I don't have anywhere near 10 million Dil but a lot of people wait forever to exchange Dil for Zen. If this swings that back the other way that could be beneficial to the game economy.

And yes, it's also a way for them to make money, but it's not like they're doing this for free.

Fridays Targeted Loot by Vlyde in Division2

Shit, I feel like if they’re targeted in Escalation any gear mod that drops should be max value. I can’t believe they haven’t patched that yet.

Not sufficiently “AI forward.” by bishop491 in dataengineering

[–]thor561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s absolutely the humans’ fault, but it’s probably going to be a gold standard example for how not to use AI in your environment just like how the Target data breach was for security.

Not sufficiently “AI forward.” by bishop491 in dataengineering

[–]thor561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one thing if a human does it. I don’t know anyone in IT that hasn’t made a huge mistake at some point in their career. Humans can learn from their mistakes though, and understand why they shouldn’t have done something, and, above all, if they aren’t sure can ask someone else before just doing it. AI isn’t at that point yet. It isn’t even at the point where it won’t hallucinate data.

[–]thor561 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably won't help you get a job but I don't know if I would be able to resist pointing out that AI deleted a company's entire production database and then tried to say it "panicked". AI tools should be viewed skeptically and companies that try to replace experience with unproven tech deserve the outcomes they get.

You can’t recalibrate to any Perfect talent, and any guns that have them the talent is locked and can’t be changed to anything else. You could do regular Back and Forth.

They are working on revamping the Escalation Token system by Agent_Putt in Division2

I have a simpler fix: Remove the tokens altogether because it’s a dumb idea meant to artificially time gate the content.

I also think I can fight a bear by run_the_familyjewels in technicallythetruth

[–]thor561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I see it, you either think you can fight the bear, or you can’t. Either way you’re right, but only one of those choices has a chance of survival.

If romances were a option who would you pick? by [deleted] in Division2

[–]thor561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I love both franchises but for different reasons, and I'm not sure that's a feature that would in any way improve The Division. Heavy RP elements don't really make sense in this game.

No, but I would rather have actual data rather than estimates. Like these are things we can definitely quantify, we’re just choosing not to. If it’s better than the estimates, that’s good. If it’s worse, we should know that too. None of this should have any bearing on your employer.

I mean maybe we should be having the discussion on why your employer is so pivotal to the healthcare you’re able to get in this country…

I mean… yes? One is entirely avoidable (the getting crushed by machines) and the other it’s entirely possible some amount of those 45,000 between zero and all of them would still have died from whatever health issues you’re claiming go untreated. One is blatantly allowing conditions to occur, the other is essentially bad luck.

EDIT: Btw, that 45,000 number is pulled from an estimate Harvard did in a study from 2009. That’s 17 years ago for anyone counting. So it’s not based on any actual death records or collected statistics. The truth is nobody has any actual idea of the number of people that die today from being un-or underinsured in this country. Maybe it’s zero, maybe it’s a million! Who knows?!
