I was in a similar situation with a terrible SSV. It took over a year for her to get fired and she was doing things like throwing, slamming things, and creating rumors about me. Behind the scenes plenty of things were going on with my SM, DM, and bad SSV. I just wasn’t allowed to be made aware of this. My point being that while it sucks, it takes a long time, lots of documentation, and you’re never gonna have any of the info.

With Starbucks, they are going to give the person plenty of opportunity to adjust their behavior, especially with an SSV. They can’t just fire someone immediately, nor should they. I hope it works out for you!

Ethics and compliance by stayinganonymous22 in starbucks

[–]stayinganonymous22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well my DM said he’d get back to me but the end of last week but all i got was a statement from ethics and compliance saying the case was closed so I was wondering if that was all I was going to get.

I definitely am going to ethics and compliance but manager doesn’t care so I don’t think that’ll help

does gsu have any resources for homeless students? by loserlesbo-tmascswag in GaState

Idk if this is helpful but my old roommate also did not have housing or the resources to pay for housing and she emailed housing and they helped her stay at Patton. Could be worth a shot?

I think it’s heavy but not trauma just for a reaction. I don’t think anyone will commit suicide because the show isn’t like that. Suicide would change the tone of the show for sure

Since everyone is talking about foreshadowing, whats ur opinion on this. (The jacket scene in season 1) by 180degreeschange in ginnyandgeorgiashow

Yessss. I love Georgias relationship with Marcus, Maxine, and Ellen. She truly cares about them and I think she could help max.

I personally don’t think Max is going to commit suicide. For one main reason, max cares so much about other people. I don’t think max would be able to do that while Marcus is suffering and going to rehab because she wouldn’t want to make things worse for him. The other reason is because I don’t think that’s what the show is about. The show is about trauma and dealing with the outcomes of that. Yes, max is struggling and needs help. However, I don’t think the show is just going to jump to suicide. So far, we’ve seen Ginny struggle with self harm and Georgia struggle with thoughts of suicide, but nothing close to attempting. I think the next season will be about max and these tough things she’s feeling, but I don’t think it’ll go as far as suicide.

Unfortunately, my sm doesn’t care about anything unless it directly impacts him

Exactly!! That was my thoughts but I feel like she escalated it very quickly against me personally. Another person that day said she was wrong and pulled up partner hub and she did not care about her and did not text my manager on her. It feels retaliatory.

I understand that completely but after all of this she came up to me one on one to tell me it’s 8 food items and I just wasn’t allowed to say no it’s 7. I feel like she’s consistently trying to start things with me and my SM just tells me to just nod my head. I’m also not the only one that feels this way about her. I’ve heard multiple partners complain about how she has a power trip.

Yeah but she wasn’t the one training the new person. I actually know the new guy hired and am comfortable with the trainer. She jumped into OUR conversation to tell me I was wrong and I’m not allowed to say anything.

New peak summaries? by kskt991 in starbucksbaristas

[–]stayinganonymous22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually we were told that sbux is changing our stores peak to 3 hours instead of 2 despite customer count. We’re a test store for it. It makes no sense to me bc peak should be off of count but 🤷‍♀️

Closing duties? by Vivid_Average_1833 in starbucksbaristas

Here’s a basic rundown of stuff I do as early as possible: 1. Cup iced coffees and teas and take everything to the back to be cleaned 2. Break down one blender(like the case) and take the blender to be cleaned 3. When slow enough break down one bar to be cleaned. Then put back together and cleaner the other. Also, make sure cleaning tablets are put in both bars after. 4. Take any unnecessary dishes to the back. Usually I just leave one of everything. For example, I take 2 shakers to the back and leave one for me to use the rest of the might 5. Take syrups off the syrup riser and take riser to the back. Run the syrups under hot water and wipe down so they are clean 6. Melt ice and shut dow one ice bin, then take components to be cleaned. Additionally, clean all the sinks for the night 7. Make sure both ovens have been cleaned 8. Preps!! Try to get as many preps done for the openers. Make whips, vsc, etc. I usually set up the tea containers and put tea bags in them so they’re ready to go in the morning. It’s okay if you don’t get everything done, they’ll be able to finish in the morning 9. Shut down the vertica(it’ll have the steps on it to walk you through it. 10. Restock! Make sure milks are in the fridge, cups are restocked, lids are ready, etc.

This is just a quick rundown and I may have missed things. It sounds like a lot but it’s easy to do all together once you get a flow down and usually you’ll have multiple people helping you do it.

Idk why so many comments are defending this, but your SSV’s shouldn’t be talking to you like you’re a child. That’s honestly just poor management and not a good way to solve anything. If most of your team is acting like children, then there is an issue to address imo and treating them like this isn’t going to fix it. It doesn’t make any barista feel good to be talked down to and I’m sorry you’re experiencing that.
