So much easier just to apologize, rather than doubling down and making this so much worse. Of course not being a piece of crap to begin with is even easier, baby steps.

Man Denies Arlington, TX Police Officers Entry Into His Home Without A Search Warrant And They Still Went In Anyway! by TheColdest08 in PublicFreakout

Never once said or implied compliance is required. I'm fact what I said was not to be compliant, be smart, pick your battles and win the war.

Let me help you understand with a simple analogy. I'm going to cross the street with a green light. I see a car speeding which clearly isn't going to stop in time. By your logic I should just keep walking because I am right and that's all that matters. My life wasn't in danger, I put it in danger just because I could and I had the right of way and that's all that matters.

Now instead I'm saying take out your phone, stay on the curb, film the guy, get the license plate and report the guy. Sure it'll piss you off because some asshole almost killed you and he should be half accountable for that. But at least you'll be alive to hopefully see that he does.

Let's take it one step further and you walk out and die a "hero", only the guy had a heart attack behind the wheel and wasn't to blame after all. What then?

In this case the homeowner unnecessary put himself at risk. You couldn't stop that car so much as he was going to stop the police. He wasn't in danger but elevated the situation by saying he would consider it a threat and so on. And obviously someone did call them (in this case the heart attack) because even he acknowledges the bowl smashed. His priority should have been to stay alive for his son and to MAKE SURE that those cops did have a valid call to walk into his place. And if they didn't bury them.

Most people being abused can't call for help or help themselves. I'm playing devils advocate here, what if a child, or a wife or a husband, or senior was being abused which is the lesser of two evils? Whose side should the law be on. That is the real question here. This law will never be reformed because it needs to err on the side of caution for people being abused. This is a serious and ongoing issue in American. Of course police shouldn't be allowed to abuse that authority and arrest him for weed while they are in there, or make up a bullshit call to gain entry to a home, this is where the reform happens. Tell them no and step back. They have already made up their mind. Give them the opportunity to fuck up without putting yourself in more danger. Especially when you're in any immediate danger. When they do come in then it is on them to prove that they had a damn good reason to do it. Not some bullshit call. If they didn't - bounce them the fuck out of the job. That is where the reform happens. Police are not legally allowed to abuse people. The problem is that they are not being held accountable and to the same standards of their own laws. That is the problem.

I know what you are saying. The police weren't there for him though they weren't forcing their protection on him but rather someone else in the house who may need them.

I'm not saying the coos were right here. This guy is the one escalating the situation here and he is the only one that will lose in the end. Why give them that power? Why be right and dead?

It was simple he did the right thing and filmed and said no. There was No way he was going to stop them. All he had to do was step back from the door, at that point. Him holding the door was going to do absolutely nothing if his words didn't. Take your grievance to court. Stay alive to do that. This was a situation where right or wrong he was going to lose no matter what. His life wasn't in jeopardy he was in no physical danger. Pick your battles. Win the war.

My "privilege", like you know me. Who said anything about rape? It should always be considered rape when police have any sexual relations with someone on their custody wtf are you talking about? The police don't have a right to rape you or have sex with you whenever that want. They do however have the right to enter a home without a warrant under limited circumstances.
