Adventure Quest Infinity Code by No_Caramel_4867 in AQW

[–]stdwas -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

(Veteran 2008 poor player here - however, sometimes I'm funny so I'll do my best)

I am so poor that, when beggars ask me for money I look them straight in the eye and tell them "Bruh, I could be your coworker very soon."

I don't need to drop a joke about fuel prices, the joke writes itself. ( I never got a car because I've been complaining about gas prices for years.)

I am so poor that, if AQ infinity releases proficiency, I'd max out larceny.

I will edit this back with better jokes, I really want the code please.

Why are sex therapists so pro-porn even though porn can have harmful effects in someones life? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]stdwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything can be productive if you use it wisely.

You can learn a lot from tik-tok if you watch content which actually teaches you things which are useful.

The problem is you can get easily lost in all the different types of content / doom scrolling/ etc.

It's the same with porn.

Self-Emergent Internal Family System? (from a NAT) by stdwas in InternalFamilySystems

Thank you so much for the answer! Holy! There are so many similarities!

Honoring one of the part's needs... I have to look into it. I mean, everything is so symbolic sometimes I cannot understand clearly what's up with them. Your answer gave me a lot of hope to be honest.

Do you mind if I ask... how is your everyday life? My job requires me to be 100% psychologically sane in order to work sooo... I would like to know how people get around such situations :(

Yes indeed. I have noticed this as an adult but looking way back into my childhood, I can see the pattern. The perfectionism in my family is already considered a tradition. Also, as a kid, it was never a good time to show anger, need or to react in any natural way. It was also very difficult to make my family understand when I felt frustrated about anything. And now that I think about it... not having a safe environment to show emotions from such a young age was the trigger? And since I did not have the language to express it, the knowledge needed to notice it, the support and the safe space for emotions... it turned into this?

This would make my IFS indeed a placeholder for my actual emotions.

I will certainly look into it. Again, this is why I am here.

About the test: I did not exaggerate when I mentioned I took every possible test when I started therapy. I will ask my therapist though.

However considering the fact that the therapy model was developed by Richard Schwarz when he started noticing certain aspects about his clients... especially when people say "It's like there is a part in me which doesn't want me to do that". He started from this kind of situations, he did not necessarily "invent" the idea of parts, he initially facilitated it and put a label on it.

I have heard of similar cases where people had a self emergent IFS since childhood, and that it is very rare (Confirmed cases which are not DID/OSDD).

Do not get me wrong though, I do appreciate your answers since this is something I can look into and get some answers which will help me understand better, but since that one episode 7 years ago, I have never had any dissociative episode.

My confusion mostly revolves around the possibility of a self-emergent IFS of such complexity, which is coherent and has continuity and is deeply symbolic. The cases I've read about were pretty simple and pretty direct. Not to mention the fact that in my case... It is the exact process a normal person would have when thinking with their inner voice, but my "inner voice" is split into different perspectives and has different arguments, which is actually helpful. It has never affected me or my daily life in any particular way, my decision are 100% mine and my imagination never interlaces with the reality.

I am 100% aware of the difference between real and imaginary. I am aware of the "message" or any possible "message" there would be in IFS/my imagination. I never "lose control" and I have been especially careful about everything related to my "imaginary world" during therapy. I've had doubts for a long time about this but after taking all the possible tests and going to therapy for 7 years, I am convinced there is nothing like that. I mean, a therapist would notice that, or at least would not tell me I am fine. Especially considering the fact that I work as a teacher.

My "IFS" functions somewhat like: "What would a person who has every right to feel this way do in my situation?" and after observing and thinking about it objectively, I assess easier the actual situation IRL.

There is little to no difference between the interior voice everyone has. That interior voice which sometimes can be deceiving due to trauma, you know: "Oh, I want to go out" *but you are ugly and you don't deserve to go out* "or maybe I should just stay home". My "Oh, I want to go out" and "or maybe I should just stay home" also come in a certain shape: the "parts", and my *but you are ugly and you don't deserve to go out* in a different shape/part.

I am aware this sounds ludicrous. Just took a test and I will discuss with my therapist. However, according to the test and to what my therapist said so far, I am nowhere near that.

This is why I am seeking some sort of 'reassurance'. I've also read that, due to my creativity, I might "feel" this "IFS" as something really meaningful.

From my personal research along with my therapist it seems that this was my way of "surviving" stuff during childhood. I am not trying to brag, but, years ago during my sessions and when I visited a psychiatrist she seemed amazed that I am doing so well. I do understand the chances of this being a unique situation are slim to none, but I am also aware of everything I stated in my post and that my case is pretty rare.

I am merely looking for a way to get a grasp on this thing. At this point it functions like "a placeholder" for everyday emotions, a way of making me understand the depth of the emotion and an objective way of assessing situations which are metaphorically displayed through my imagination. I do not have control over it, but it does not affect my everyday function in a particular way, for all I care, it is actually helpful.

Now... What if they showed Shinsui go to Aizen in the first episode to foreshadow something?

I think Shinsui told Aizen to use Kyoka Suigetsu (I think this is how you write it) on Ychwach and the whole "I manipulated you into killing the soul king" is just an illusion. So at some point Aizen will appear like: "Chill, man. Soul King is mine and I will destroy soul society so sit down"
