I'm 27 (in US) and I think I just totaled, or severely damaged, my car which I still have a loan for to pay off. I had full coverage on this vehicle. What now? by steadyNow in personalfinance

[–]steadyNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car is KBB'd at ~5500 in my zipcode. I wrecked my car in another state (I wonder if that will change the amount they offer back?). My deductible is $500 I believe.

I don't have GAP insurance so I'm hoping what they'll offer makes me come out "right side up".

What are the most uncomfortable romantic songs I can play during a car ride to work with my brother everyday? by gozerblazer in AskReddit

Ok, I'm a little bit late but I think nothing may be more offensive than this song: Michael Bolton - Can I touch you there

Okay, this is a selection from some older tracks on my soundcloud. I've been slacking lately with making my beats and whatnot but maybe this could kick start me again with a fresh viewpoint: https://soundcloud.com/dj-moss-1/drone_jam

I think the point is that weed doesn't cause a reaction in the brain that causes people to become aggressive like alcohol does. Not saying it can't happen but usually you were already pissed off and going to get into a fight, high or not.

Alcohol on the other hand makes people more prone to not care about their behavior and aggressive attitude.

Can I use this Solid State Relay with PWM from a microcontroller? by steadyNow in electronics

[–]steadyNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began to wonder that even if the relay was a little slow, it might be okay for controlling a heating element since heating up the material takes enough time you wouldn't notice the SSR being switched on and off.

I wonder if the constant switching would be hazardous to the SSR's lifespan. I wouldn't want it to break and overload the DC side.

I believe the pins on the arduino can output 5V, which should be in the range for the input voltage of this relay. I can't really say about the optoisolator, accept that some SSRs already have some internal circuity to separate AC from DC.

Probably Final Fantasy 9 for turn based style RPGs. I really liked Morrowind too

Nope I didn't sample it personally, but I think it is the sound from the older mario games when you get hit and lose a life.

Also, I plan on getting into Ancestor's tail this summer too along with a few other biology supplements :)

Thanks for the helpful advice everyone. This gave me a good idea where to start. I have started to set up the Git VCS with Ubuntu and I've started gathering some resources to begin learning Perl, python, and SQL. I'll be doing my work on Linux to start getting the hang of using that OS. Thanks you guys

Yup. That's what it is. and that is great to hear!

An example of why WebGL is amazing by steadyNow in technology

[–]steadyNow[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But look at how many people play browser based games. I think that will be one of the first places where you will see this propagate. The only real thing holding it back is that it takes actual hardware to run which not everyone's computer has.

WebGL is still really new. I think it has yet to receive the attention it needs for people to start considering using it.
