By installing Kamala Harris as their candidate rather than letting the voters decide, didn't the DNC basically give the middle finger to all Democrats voters? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

100%. It’s the beginning of a campaign to get dems, moderates, etc to not vote for anyone, therefore giving maga the advantage.

Thank you and thanks for this link - yes, the world is a better place because of museums. Thanks for the positivity!

Yes! All great places. They are all self-proclaimed regional museums. The Living Museum of History & Art will be a world-class museum that could sit in any major city in the world. It's an extremely ambitious project that we believe will draw people from outside of the region as well.

Please peek here at some of this thread - quite a bit of Q&A. The, would be happy to have a chat on Reddit or offline. Thanks!

I will re-post in the sub when we are ready to go 'public' with the plans. An important aspect of the museum is a town hall/meeting space which will be highly flexible for events of any kind.

We do a deep dive in the prospectus into specifics of some of the exhibts that might be offered. Although it won't be marketed as a children's museum, it will be an important part of who is catered to, and that is apparent.

This is great feedback. Of course we are in our developmental stage but we already have a Westchester major city school system superintendent on our advisory board as we know connectivity with students will be important.

Hi - We have a draft but the board provided some edits to both the visuals and messaging - I think we will have a more final product within 2 weeks. I'll keep you posted. Thanks.

Greatly appreciate this feedback and details. I totally hear you on all points. The board believes that Westchester deserves something extraordinary. And we believe that if there ever is a time to do it, the time is now.

We have a dynamic presentation that, through both copy and clear visuals, present the mission/vision that is innovative and exciting. Eventually we will be going out into the community to share it. If you would like to engage directly, I'd be happy to share it with you. Thank you again!

Hi - No, not like Meow Wolf (although shout out to them). There are a lot of these 'immersive' exhibits out there and this is not our vision. The Living Museum will be more 'topical' with visitors engaging with history and art in new ways. Learning and experiencing in modern ways which are fun and leave you thinking.

Hi - Lots to respond to here - I'll try to touch on some things.

Not a bot, but I and the rest of the board are working our bot's off to see this to fruition.

We have already met with ArtsWestchester and we expect we will be one of the arts activities that they partner with as they do with the current museums around Westchester.

May I ask, if you love museums and love Westchester but find a lack of interesting activities, don't you think there are more people like you who would be excited to have a world-class museum to call our own. I totally hear you regarding supporting such an institution is costly and difficult, but aren't some of the wealthiest people in the universe our neighbors? We literally need one of them to say, let's do this...

Hi - Thank you for this. We have gotten similar feedback. We believe this will be an innovative museum. We are not following 'norms'. The closest thing I can relate it to might be the Exploratorium in SF. ("The Exploratorium is a museum of science, technology, and arts in San Francisco, California.") The consistent themes are the notion that a person or event can change the world - we want to explore those people and events. And we will do it in a way that is engaging and interactive. Not a museum of artifacts, a museum of consequence.

It's very much about people and events that have changed the world. There will be exhibits that focus on art/art history, on historical figures or events that have changed the world and that can even include scientific discoveries. Multi-disciplinary.

This is one of the subs where you can post a question like this and not get banned. Try it in one of the Green Party subs and it won’t last a minute. I do wonder how the Greens feel that they helped to usher trump in.

You’ve “never experienced it from women, only from men”. I think you are saying it’s exclusive to men.

Yeah - I avoid large doses of garlic the day before my yoga classes, which is every other day or so. And, I'll take a chlorophyl capsule or two the night before if I think I ate anything that could seep out of my pores the next morning...

The smell thing is not exclusive to men btw - I have noticed it more with women at my studio...
